So, I've been interested in buying an HD TV lately... mainly because I just want a new TV 'cause the one I have now is pretty crappy (like, if there's a bright spot that stays in one place it messes up the TV screen, if that makes sense >_>)
On Friday and Saturday at the store I work at we're gonna have a sale on a Haier 32-inch HD LCD Television for $399.00.
I was just wondering if anyone here knows if this TV is any good and if the price is good and will it play Blu-ray movies (when I get a Blu-ray player of course lol) and such?
Thanks a lot, I'm not very "in the know" when it comes to HD stuff.
I have a question about an HDTV

I have not heard of Haier, but I do know a lot of 32 inch sets are going to be $399 on Friday. Also for a little more Circuit City will have a 32 inch Toshiba for $449 on Friday.
The Haier might be a good TV though, do you happen to know the model number?
If the TV has a HDMI or DVI port your good to go on a Blu-ray player (for upconverting DVDs and watching Blu-rays). I don't know of any HDTVs now that don't offer a HDMI port, so you should be fine.
If your looking for a cheap Blu-ray player a few places have some deals on Friday. Wal-Mart has a Magnavox (which gets pretty good reviews, surprisingly) for $128. Sears has the Sony 350 for $179 (I think KMart has it for the same price, but I could be wrong on that one.). The Magnavox is only a Profile 1.1, so if you care about the BD-Live stuff this player isn't for you. The Sony can be upgraded to Profile 2.0.
