Nowadays when we see Disney stars like, Miley, Corbin, Hillary, etc in the news....it's usualy a controvrsial pic or publitcy stunts....Well here we can relieve the good ol' days of Classic/modern Disney stars, i.e...Tommy Kirk (Old Yeller), Annette F. (M.M.Club) Hillary Duff (Lizzie McGuire)

Here's our 1st story

I was watchin the Disc 2 bonus on WDT: Annette, I aboustly loved the series....durin an "old" interview with Annette they touched on the Disney Child Star" rule, apparently Walt had script approval of Annette's Beach films and personaly spoke with her bout 'em sayin that she had an image to uphold and she was to wear a reg. swimsuit in the Beach films... Ms. F. respected Walt's authority so well that she took Mr. Disney's advice and somehow knew what choices to make for his star.

I wonder how Walt would react towards his Studios' new stars and the scandals that followed 'em (Miley's racy Vanity pic, Hudgens' priv. pic)

I was usin his name as an example of modern Disney stars Amy *chuckles* don't worry I know he's gon'na hopefuly turn out a good career.

Eh I don't really have stories or anything to share but I do respect the Walt Era actors/actresses a lot more than the new modern generation (except for Corbin ....and Lucas ). Back then they knew how to behave. It also seemed like they were a lot closer, almost family like (although that could just be for sake good PR?) for example watch Your Host Walt Disney's Backstage Party or the Fourth Anniversary show, how many employees can kidnap their boss and force them to watch a few musical numbers without getting fired? It was probably set up that way but I digress.

Nowadays it's almost like Disney Stars Gone Wild.

Right before I read your PR comment, I was thinking just that- we don't know what went on behind closed doors. Many of the stars probably were wholesome, but some may have led less wholesome lives...I don't know.

Did anyone ever confuse Fred MacMurray and Dean Jones? When I was younger, I confused them all the time! I guess they look somewhat similar, but I'm glad that I learned.

I respect Walt's Stars too especialy when it came to finding the right chemistry between a child/adult star, there was one egg that accidently got rotten....Bobby Driscoll (Peter Pan) he had a good child star career yet after Peter Pan, things went off track for young Driscoll, he tried gettin work from other studios, but apparently he was a "one shot" star after reachin 13 then he got mixed with drug abuse....


I feel sorry for Mr. Driscoll could've had a wonderful career if he explored other oppertunies at the time, might've joined the Mickey Mouse Club
