Actulally I'm not sure if it was even filmed in widescreen. On the VHS tape that I got a while back it DOES NOT say "This film has been formatted from its original version. It has been formatted to fit your TV," and especially considering that this is based on Disney TV staple I wouldn't be suprised if the actulal correct ratio IS 1.33:1 and it was cropped during its brief theatrical run.
Anyway, this is a fun movie and I hope we get a DVD stateside soon.

I'm not sure if DisneyToons/DTVs of that era were animated in a widescreen ration. Mind you, it was theatrically released, wasn't it? The OAR might have been 1.33:1. I don't think it would be too fact off the actual ratio though, would it?
Really looking forward to this in any form. Used to love that show, and have been keen to see the film again for a while...

And there seems to be something extra on it anyhow!
A game - which they think is not innovative or exciting at all!

Now I have the DVD in my hands.
The aspect ratio is indeed 1.66:1, but there is only a 2.0 sound mix.
The game was indeed very unexiting. For the very very small ones maybe...
No other extras and no inlay in the box.
A cheap barebones with other words.
But fun to have the film in Widescreeen in the end.
Have only had it on ordinary video cassette and in pan-and-scan before.

Thanks!
All it´s pretty basic I think. Nothing to scream HURRAH for!
The sound is good, but not excellent. (I have only viewed the swedish version yet, but the original version is in the same Dolby mix, so I don´t think it´s much better than the swedish one.)
The picture is a little bit grainy in some parts.
I hardly think they had done anything with the picture quality for this release.
The menus are also pretty basic.
The beginning of the main menu is animated, scenes from the film which turns over to a animated picture of the treasure they found in the cave, with the lamp jumping around in it.
Not much, but OK for this little film - I really had no special whising and hopes for this release - just glad that they finally released it to DVD.
I also think the film has not stand the time so very well.
It feels outdated in some way.
