Forum Problems

Post by magicalwands »

When I surf the UD looking at new posts, I would click on an orange button that would appear next to the topic subject title. It would then take me to the most recent post and the posts which are new would be marked orange. Until very recently, I would click on the orange button next to the topic subject title and it would do one of the following:
1. Send me to a page that says "No new posts since your last visit.", or something along those lines.
2. Send me to the most recent post but it won't be orange. I know this one isn't a big deal, but it throws me off a bit. Especially when dealing with topics that have pictures. It would send me to the post that I have not read, but the pictures of previous pictures will load and I will forget which post I was on.

I was just wondering if Luke changed something or the UD board is experiencing technical difficulties?

No to the first and as far as I know, no to the second as well - it's working same as always for me. You might want to try logging out and logging back in if you're normally signed in automatically. Perhaps deleting the cookie would help if that doesn't work.

I don't know if this is happening on anyone else's computer, but the forum itself has extremely tiny print...I even selected the largest font on IE, and it's still tiny...the UD links above are normal (like Home, Disney DVD Schedule, etc.), but the forum text is small.
*edit* The problem isn't around anymore, so it must've fixed itself...

Strange. I'm using IE 7.0 most of the time and I'm not getting this problem or anything like it. If others report experiencing the same thing, I'll be glad to look into it, but my guess is that it may be something on your end. (But then, I never underestimate the apathy of Internet readers when it comes to code problems.)
