I don't really understand why the Walt Disney Animation Studios logo features Steamboat Willie when playing before a film, and just a regular Mickey Mouse on stills found on the internet.
I like the one with the regular Mickey Mouse - it would make a nice letterhead or something - but I'm not mad about the animated one that went before
Meet the Robinsons (and all future films apparantly). It doesn't seem as
grand as the Disney castle.
And speaking of inconsistencies, the new CG castle with the fireworks that went before
Pirates of the Carribean 3 and
Enchanted , among others, was slapped on the front
101 Dalmatians on its recent re-release on DVD! Over here in the UK and Ireland, Disney marketing still heavily emphasises the "Disney's Xth animated classic" line (it's on the cover of all the titles and many DVDs come with a checklist), playing up the angle that these are all part of a series - so why would Disney be so inconsistant as to have different films in the same "series" (for lack of a better word) start multiple different ways?
As I said I'm not a fan of the Steamboat Willie logo, I would prefer that the films would begin either with their original logo (RKO presents, Buena Vista presents, etc) or ALL start with the new CG castle. Does anyone else agree? (I understand that Walt Disney Feature Animation was renamed Walt Disney Animation Studios, which goes someway to explaining the Steamboat Willie logo presence, but Feature Animation never had a logo...)

I blame George Lucas for all this revisionism...
(Woah, that got a bit off topic, sorry!)
