What comes after WALL-E?
Could anyone please tell me what Pixar is doing after WALL-E?

Kelvin. do you have any idea as to whether John Carter of Mars will or will not be released under the Walt Disney Pictures banner? It's just that I seem to remember reading somewhere (maybe Jim Hill's website?) that it's rather adultish ... storywise, that is. I expect that film is still in very early stages if development, don't you?Disneykid wrote:Pixar's also supposedly doing the live-action/CGI hybrid John Carter of Mars, but it's unclear when that's coming out. Some sources say 2009, others 2010.
So guys, let's recap:
1) Wall-E (2008)
2) Up (2009)
3) Toy Story 3 (2010)
In the works/rumoured (but no release date set):
1) Cars 2 (according to our UD members)
2) John Carter of Mars (live-action/CGI hybrid)
And just to make sure people don't confuse the films in Pixar's pipeline with those of Walt Disney Animation Studios, here are the films in development in the latter animation facility:
1) BOLT* (2008)
2) The Princess and the Frog (2009)
3) Rapunzel (2010)
In the works/rumoured (but no release date set):
1) Joe Jump (UD still has this on the 'Coming Soon' page, though I strongly believe it's been scrapped)
2) Another 2D animated film (no title specified)
*It seems that BOLT is meant to be spelled in all-caps.

QFT. There are certain films that should never have a sequel, and Ratatouille is definitely one of them.Barbossa wrote:I can't see a sequel being made for Ratatouille. That one was great on its own.
I wouldn't mind, though, a short film about Gusteau similar to the deleted scene on the DVD. I found him to be a really interesting and amusing character and would love to see more about his past.
I think...
I really don't see them doing two sequels back to back... We all know Toy Story 3 is in the works... I don't think they would do another sequel the next year... And also... Am I the only praying there isn't a sequel to Cars ? I didn't think it was that great... Definitely the weakest of the Disney/Pixar films (in my opinion.)
I'm thinking they will go with another original story (or at least original idea) rather than another sequel.
