So, I was reading on another forum about how people aren't happy about how long it's taking for the last Gummi Bear set is taking to come out. As well as how there's no Bonus Features.
So I've got a theory. Most t.v show's now only need 1 set left each, but more than likely don't have enough episodes to fill out 3 discs correct? So what if Disney's waiting until the last set to add in the Bonus Features? Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but it would make sense to do it now. Also, to keep this topic from turning into just "yeah it's wishful thinking" posts, we could also discuss what would make good bonus features for the shows..........

I had this thought as well, though I don't expect it to be the case at all. I just think it would be a nice/good idea.
Good bonus features would naturally be as much making of material as possible. I would hardly expect any commentaries, but some galleries at least would be well appreciated, and simply anything else they've got. I know a few of the Disney Afternoon shows had some really crappy music videos made to go with them. Frankly, I don't NEED those, ha, but they'd be funny. I'd love to see some merchandise galleries. Definitely should get the Disney Afternoon opening. Oh, and those shows that had scenes cut from their pilots should have deleted scenes so we can at least watch those scenes separately (if not including the extended cuts of the pilots, which would be even better). It would be great if DuckTales had the anti-drug program "Cartoon All-Stars to the Rescue" on it, and/or Sport Goofy in "Soccermania," which could also go an a Goof Troop final set (assuming that show will be released eventually). DuckTales could also have "Scrooge McDuck and Money" as an extra. In fact, it should. I wonder if the DuckTales Valentine Special that aired on Disney once is included as one of the episodes in the last season? I only remember seeing it on its own on NBC's 80's version of the Disney Anthology. "Fluppy Dogs" would also make a nice extra for, say, the Gummi Bears set. And, of course, Rescue Rangers could have some Chip N Dale shorts or something. Another wild idea is to include episodes from other shows, particularly ones Disney maybe doesn't intend to ever release on DVD in their own sets. Like, they might never release Raw Toonage, but various Disney characters, like Scrooge McDuck, would host that show. Maybe that show could be released by a few episodes rounding out each Disney TV series set. Yeah, it's not ideal, but whatever it takes. Disney has some shows I worry won't get released because the were not about already famous characters or were not big successes, like Raw Toonage, Shnookums and Meat, Wuzzles, and Marsupilami (which had an awful time slot where I live of like 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. Wuzzles had that timeslot too.
If House of Mouse ever got a release, Totally Minnie would make a nice extra for it and even better would be Mickey's 60th Birthday. Same goes for Mickey Mouse Works, and Runaway Brain and other new shorts would make nice extras for them too. I'm still wanting a good release of Runaway Brain since the sound was out of sync on the Treasures Collection release.

Those are great ideas s2m
If they don't bother with putting any Bonus Features out, another thing they could do is put out PVC sets to help promote it, each show would need a couple sets to get most of the major characters but it would be neat to have Darkwing Duck sitting in my shelf with all the other characters. I think even Still Galleries would be welcomed if they were included. For Ducktales perhaps a trailer for the Ducktales Movie if there was one? Or even an interactive map of the world to highlight all the places or some places Scrooge and co. have visited over the course of the series would be interesting (to me it is at least
) With Talespin even an episode or two of Jungle Cubs would be a highlight for sure, there's almost unlimited number of things that can be done, but Disney needs to realize it first
too bad they don't think the way the fans do. I hope they get to work on the rest of the shows in the meantime like Aladdin, Hercules, Little Mermaid etc.

I think they should do that too but I highly doubt it will happen. All the specials should be included. Chip N Dale also had a 30 minute one they aired on the first day. I'll never forget it because Norton Nimnall was based on a real guy and they had him talking about it. If they include the films edited to feature length then we get all the material that was cut in the daily run. Ducktales would be the only problem though as they had 3. I wonder if the Valentines special will be included on the final set?
