Updating the Disney countdowns

Post by Simba3 »

Hey Luke,

I was just wondering if it would be possible to update the Disney countdowns we have at this site, such as the Disney Animated Classics and Villains, etc. It seems they were done quite a while ago, and I thought it might be fun if we were to update them. Just a suggestion.

Yes, I agree. People's opinions have changed on characters like Cinderella and Bambi due to their sequels that have recently been produced. We also have new characters like Giselle, Prince Edward, and Narissa. We have great new songs from Enchanted, too. Plus, doing a countdown would just be fun, and I missed out on the previous ones.

I think that that's a great idea! Or, at the very least, we could do a new countdown...

I disagree. There seems to be a much smaller number of posters now, and the results would be a lot less varied.

Besides, the old ones are perfectly fine. Just because 2 or 3 Disney movies have came out does not grant an entirely new voting. Movies need to age before you can look at them in retrospect.
Best Movies of 2009:
1. Moon
2. Inglorious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. Coraline
5. Ponyo

Updating Ultimate Disney Countdowns

You should not take sequels into account when deciding the best Disney characters in some official countdown. The sequels were not produced by the people who originally made those characters, and they may not be the way their creators originally intended, no matter how hard today's filmakers try. If none of the movies are Disney Animated Classics eligible for that countdown, and almost none of the sequels are, then don't think of them when trying to decide who's your favorite out of the characters eligible for the character countdowns. What if for villains you could vote for Anastasia? Would you vote for her because she completely changed her character in two sequels? Then you're not voting for her original character, how we know she was intended.

Directed to DisneyDuster

I should have also mentioned people's opinions have changed due to more than the sequels *cough*TimonandPumbaafan*cough*, heck you've even changed my opinion on Belle and the beast (slightly).

If we don't redo them, we could do a Sequel Countdown.

I actually like both of these ideas...it'd probably make more sense to make a whole new countdown than redo previously done ones.

How about Countdowns for the Least Favorites instead? Least Favorite Villain, Hero, Movie etc.

you don't vote for someone because you like them or they have been ignored a couple of times; you're supposed to vote for them because they're a genuine "whatever-they're-nominater-for".

Well, it has been about 4 years since the last poll. I think thats long enough and we should have a new updated poll.

Or maybe they just like her. It doesn't matter if you are sick of seeing her being at the top of the polls because that poll isn't based on what you think. She is quite popular and I'm sure is relatable to a lot of females. Belle, too, is brave and smart, maybe that's why people like her and that is why she is at the top. You know, just a little thinking and you can come up with a conclusion. Just get over it, seriously. You come up with these random posts that don't make a lick of sense and then you wonder why people try to tell you something that you, apparently, don't like. We all have our opinions, but nonsensically repeating them is not the answer to getting your point across.

Or maybe you can get sick of seeing characters getting mentioned often. That's not a bad thing. Accept it! It happens! It's natural to get sick of fads. Otherwise, we'd still be living in the 80s!
In a poll, whatever you think counts, because it's your raw opinion. We all differ with our opinions. That's something to love.

I just i said that i won't vote for Belle in anycase becouse she allways wins just becouse she's "brave and smart" (it's not that i don't like her,i like her a lot i just don't see she wins polls just becouse of that),i didn't said i control the poll and decied who'll win,so why saying that?.
