Cheetah Girls 3 and Camp Rock headed to Disney Channel
Hey all! Happy New Years! This may only be news to me, but it looks like 2 new DCOMS are headed our way: Cheetah Girls 3 and Camp Rock, starring the Jonas Brothers. I didn't pay much attention to the ad, so I don't have any more details, but there's a little news for your new year.

CHEETAH GIRLS:
Well I've had a look at this today and all I can say is wtf. It sounds interesting but pointless. The first film I really disliked for many reasons. The second was wonderful but the miming was shocking. Now they want to make a third film BUT IT ALREADY HAS ISSUES!
Firstly it is another travel over seas story and it again deals with the girls possed with the issue: Will they or will they not break up the band? Its generic and stupid.
Secondly Raven isnt in it. That upsets me as she is one of the Cheetah Girls. True she does not appear with them outside of the films but she is still, for fans of the movie anyway, crucial to and basically the star of the four. Why make a sequel with a critcial main character missing? Without Raven I doubt it will work.
Anyway just my opinion.

but you know disney when it comes to tween based products... all principles that go into making an audience worthy product are harshly
omitted. the sad thing is... we can't do anything about it because there is still millions and millions of little girls to like this garbage called entertaiment by them. i liked these movies and it makes me so mad when big companies like disney messes with good enterteinment by making them mony-making based franchises.

I don't have either of Raven's albums, but she needs to release another sngle from her current album. She is so under-promoted, especially compared to other Hollywood Records artists. Sure, "Double Dutch Bus" had good exposure, and Disney Channel did air those short interviews with her, but that's it. In my opinion, regardless of who the artist is, a second single off of an album is crucial. Sometimes people won't purchase an album based off of just one song. I'm proud of Raven for doing her thing, and I've been meaning to hear clips of her new album. I did hear clips a few months ago of her older album, but some of the songs sounded too R&B for my liking. I am proud of Raven for doing her thing, though. I don't know where I read it, but I read somewhere online that someone wanted Raven's album to be a dance album. I think that her music career would be more successful if she did make a straight-up dance pop album, but she shouldn't sell out for the sake of record sales.Matt wrote:Raven should have been in the movie, she is flopping so bad with her solo album. Poor thing.

I love Raven!
you are definitely right, she needs a lot of advertisement; she is just overlooked because she isn't making Hannah Montana money anymore. The CD is all right, i hate hip hop, but I can actually somehow enjoy this. Please go out and buy this! They barely made any copies of this and it still flopped BIG TIME, i wish her career goes better. I know some of you have read about her official fan web site/forum was closed recently, admins, owner, and most members were pretty mad because she wasn't promoting anything herself, i somehow agree with them; she even runs her own website and barely updates it. But they also have to remember that she is the victim of a major company that is ignoring her because she stopped making money (which i think was Disney's fault but i won't get into that). Her Pajama Party Tour was canceled (it was sort of a play), which is a major drag, but at least she is touring.

yeah so I saw camp rock, and I actually liked it lol. I only caught the last 45 minutes of it with my niece. The Jonas Brothers need more acting lessons but the older one did a good job. He reminds me of Zac from High School Musical lol.
The Cheetah Girls Movie, I will watch just for the dancing and music. I love how they used the arabic music in it.

I figured this was the best place to post this. For those of you who are always bummed by Disney Channel Original Movies that are filmed in widescreen only being released in fullscreen, just in case Camp Rock gets a fullscreen DVD release, this week on Disney.com you can watch the film in widescreen hosted by the Jonas Brothers with a sneak peak at Wall-E. Watche it here.
Everything about Camp Rock was horrible. It was a complete and utter trainwreck. But that doesn't mean I didn't love it! It's one of those films that's so bad, it's just great fun to watch.
I especially love when Eyebrows sings "Gotta Find You" to Mitchie. The vocals were great, especially the background vocals sung by the mystery people who were nowhere to be found. My guess is that Disney decided to use the Haunted High School Musical idea on Camp Rock instead, and the background vocals were sung by ghosts. Or, more realistically, the background singers could have been hiding behind a bush or something. But I, personally, like the ghost concept more. So I'm just gonna go with that.
Believe me, I'll definitely be picking this one up on DVD.
As for The Cheetah Girls 3, I think it's a hopeless case without Raven. The second one wasn't all that great as it is.
