Splash, Too

Post by disneyfella »

In 1988 Disney aired a made for television sequel to the smash hit "Splash" on the Disney Sunday Night Movie. "Splash, Too" was the first film to be made at the new DisneyMGM Studios on the backlot. Featuring high production values, this film has faded into obscurity and become a Disney rarity. Never released on VHS or DVD here in the States, this film has only been aired on television a few times. Follow the links below to learn more about and watch this little seen Disney sequel.

I recorded that movie when it aired on television! I remember hoping for a 2nd sequel because that last line of the movie just screamed "2nd sequel".
Disney Channel died when they stopped airing movies with Haley mills (Parent Trap and Pollyanna) and fun adventure movies like Swiss Family Robinson. R.I.P. the REAL Disney Channel. Date of Death: When the shows became teenie bopperish.

Wow, I totally never realized Amy Yasbeck was in this! I always thought she was so gorgeous, particularly because she always reminded me of Ariel (usually being a redhead), aside from having a bit of a raspy sound to her voice sometimes. I saw the first part of this and look forward to seeing the rest later. Thanks for posting it! I wonder if anyone has put up "Return of the Shaggy Dog" or anything else from that era. Remember the TV series from the early days of the Disney Channel, "Still the Beaver?" Ha.

Looks like a good movie :) it's good to see Madison more active here then in the 1st movie.
But there's something that i thought about it now-in the end of the 1st movie they went to some underwater kingdom and here they live on a deserted island :? (well,i think it's better but still).
