The Onion teases DVD Collectors

Post by RoyalNatalie »

A friend sent me this link and I thought it was amusing enough to share here. The Onion obviously made a few references for advanced DVD collectors to get. :D

LOL..... sad but true ! :D
Inigo: I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
Westley: Do you always begin conversations this way?

Inigo: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to kill you.
Westley: You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die.

Same thing happened to me. My parents and brother got me full-screen last year. I liked the gifts but went to exchange them before I opened them. I explained to them that any future DVD purchases are to be widescreen and they take no offense. I also have to say when I want a movie I want it widescreen or they forget.

That is pretty funny. I can feel the guy's pain. My dad did the same thing to me. I wanted Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in widescreen. I kept telling him that, I talked to him on the phone and he said he was going to pick it up. Again I stressed widescreen. I am excited when he hands me the bag and I pull it out and its full screen. I was so mad. But, of course, I never said anything. I watched it. But he knows now I am a widescreen girl. Plus no one in my family dares buy me dvd's because they know that they might get it wrong I will be upset. So they let me get them on my own. Thankfully.

hahaha... I dont think everyone here picked up on the fact that this article is mocking us, the dvd collector's. Which makes it all the more hillarious.
