Katurran Odyssee - A New Disney Film?

I don't know wether someone is familiar with the book
Katturan Odyssee by Terryl Whitlatch, it is a great
''story-book'' about a meerkat who is exiled then saves his people from oppression and finds many friends along the way.

Not untill recently there has been some word off using this book as a guideline to an animated picture , however no studio has been involved yet.

What would you think of an animated flick by disney?

Could this fit in as a ''classic'', or perhaps a more loose adaptation in
live-action like Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe
making use of 3-d or perhaps motion-capture instead?
