All New “Dark World” Hong Kong Haunted Halloween

Post by Loomis »

After days of rumours and speculation Disney finally spills the beans on the much anticipated Halloween season for 2007. Beginning September 25 this year's season goes to never before seen lengths to scare and excite guests!

http://news.hkdlsource.com/story/197

From September 25 until the end of October, over 10 mysterious attractions and entertainment offerings filled with ghostly encounters, will appear during the Haunted Halloween at Hong Kong Disneyland. The creepy surprises will begin on Main Street U.S.A. with the Main Street Haunted Hotel. Space Mountain will soon be possessed and be known as Space Mountain – Ghost Galaxy. The pumpkin king, Jack Skellington, will gather his friends from the dark side to showcase UV “transformational” antics right in front of guests in the all-new nightly Glow in the Park Halloween Parade.

The Main Street Haunted Hotel

A secret passage has been discovered on Main Street U.S.A., which will bring curious guests to the once famous Main Street Haunted Hotel. The Hotel has seen tragedy after tragedy; numerous guests including a honeymooning couple had disappeared within its walls. It is believed that these tragedies are connected with the bizarre experiments that the one time owner Jack Maxwell carried out, along with his wife, Victoria. Brave guests can attempt to not get lost in this timeless space. While guests appreciate the luxurious decor and fine details that gave this hotel world renown more than a hundred years ago, they should beware of the hair raising haunts and living ghosts around every corner! Heed the hidden secret passages, strewn throughout or guests may never be able to make their way out…
This sounds awesome!! I wonder if they'll install similar attractions at the US parks.

The whole event sounds like a really great way to spend Halloween!

The Hong Kong Tourism Board unveils plans for the rest of the year, and gives us a sneak peek at the promotional art for the forthcoming seasonal Space Mountain - Ghost Galaxy that will be unveiled as part of Hong Kong Disneyland's 2007 'Dark World' Halloween celebrations.

http://news.hkdlsource.com/story/203

In the lead-up to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Hong Kong Tourism Board has released it's September 2007 e-Zine. In addition to the cultural and artists events that will be showcased in Hong Kong this year - including the appearance of one of my favourite bands, Nine Inch Nails on September 13 - the newsletter makes mention of the upcoming Halloween events around Hong Kong.

Included in the newsletter was this very tiny image promoting the re-themed Space Mountain for Halloween 2007:

Loomis, thank you so much for posting that information. I am really excited to see pictures from this. You have an awesome website. I won't be able to travel to Hong Kong Disneyland until I have my own source of income and my own family, but your website gives me a taste of the magic! I can't wait to hear more about the Villains. If you have any more info on the festivities featuring the Disney Villains please post. I can't wait to hear more and see pictures.

Annual Passholders have been alerted to an exclusive preview of the new Haunted Halloween. They'll get to see these attractions a day early - and there are also a few new promo images to go with the Annual Passholder newsletter.

And just for Disney Villain, I know this is small but...

We've been hearing about this for a few days now, and have only now just stumbled across it online.
