Now comes word directly from Disney CEO Bob Iger that the company does intend plan to release a three-disc 'Pirates' package. Iger's comments came in response to a direct question from an analyst during the company's third quarter earnings call. Although the CEO declined to provide a time table for such a release, he did offer that in addition to a three-disc DVD release, "you can expect to see it as a Blu-ray disc, as well."
3 disc!? *Mostly* movie-only box sets?

Not surprised, Disney loves to double-dip...and then some.

Probably just the commentaries (and in the case of 2 and 3, blooper reels).
I'm predicting we'll get a standard movie-only boxset this year, but for Christmas 2008, they'll release big megaset Extended Editions of each film.

Well, the UK's getting this Blu-ray set
http://www.play.com/DVD/Blu-ray/4-/5408 ... oduct.html
For the price, I expect it to still be 6 discs.
We got a Trilogy Box on DVD when World's End came out. However this was 4 discs - 2 for World's End and the other two movies were single disc.
