I am interested in hearing everyones opinion on this movie. I, personally, have not seen this movie. But of course I have heard what happens...

I bought this one on the Golden Collection awhile back and I think it's a pretty good sequel. If you're concerned entirely with historical accuracy, you may not enjoy it, still very good.

Seeing as how I like the sequels, I like "Pocahontas II". It is one of the better sequels. My only complaint is that it puts a bad taste in my mouth about John Smith, sometimes even when I watch the original film. This is the only sequel that has an impact on the original when I watch it (meaning, not "ruining" the first one, but making me see John Smith in another way). Also, I can relate to Pocahontas, not the going to London part, but the whole choosing between 2 boys thing, as opposed to some other princesses who I can't relate to as much. As much as I love John Smith, I'm glad she chose John Rolfe. I also like the part when she goes to London for the first time, and her outfit(s). And the animal sidekicks. And all the mushy lovey-dovey stuff.

I like the movie, the frozen waterfall scene is pretty cool. I hate how everyone rolls their eyes and says "Oh it's stupid because it isn't historically accurate" or anything along those lines. The way I see it, it's a movie thats meant to entertain people, if you want to watch a movie that is historically accurate than go and watch a Documentary or National Geographic

Since the first time I saw "Pocahontas II," I have regarded it as the absolute worst Disney sequel EVER!!!!! Nothing I have seen has topped it. I greatly prefer monstrocities like "Cinderella II" to this poorly animated film. The plot is so bad. I applaud them for trying to get historically accurate and I don't so much mind that Pocahontas goes to London, but it makes the whole movie feel less like a sequel and more like a... horrible film. It's boring. I've seen it twice. I think I was 14 when it came out and I was bored. I gave it a second chance when I was 18 and I hated it even more. The animation is really poorly done and Pocahontas often looks weird (and not just because she's in a ball gown). SPOILER WARNING:Even though in real life, Pocahontas married John Rowlf, I don't think anybody wanted to see her not end up with John Smith. The only highlight is the song "Where Do I Go From Here" which I found to be pretty memorable. Otherwise, I would pass on this sequel.
I'm currently watching and reviewing every Disney film in chronological order. You can follow along at my blog, The Disney Films, and also follow me on Twitter.

It was alright. Pocahontas was somewhat out-of-character and the animation quality was lacking. It wasn't horrible, though.

Animation and direction was awful true, but it was quite an interesting sequel story wise. Those who dont know the story of Pocahontas after the original film would be surprised about how she ends up with another man (much like a surprise romantic comedy twist). My sister and I both agree that Rolfe is a better choice than Smith. Dont ask why.

Horrible movie. One of the worst of the Disney sequels (not that any of Disney's sequels are good to begin with).

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Does anyone know if Pocahontas 2 is OOP?

If it isn't...then why is Cinderella 2 OOP and it's a sequel, yet Pocahontas 2 is not OOP?

good storyline (ON PAPER) but badly executed, hideous animation, several memorable songs (couldve been better with grander, more sophisticated arrangement). i'd say it had potential had it not been for the budget constraint and lack of quality control. this sits alongside HOND 2 and chicken little as gifts from hell.

i still pretend it doesnt exist. i love pocahontas.
do you still wait for me Dream Giver?

I have never seen this and I never plan to, seeing how I never really liked the first film to begin with.

I love John Smith way too much to see Pocahontas II. The ending of Pocahontas to me is perfect and makes me cry (and not just a few tears here and there) every time and I wouldn't watch Pocahontas II (unless somebody tied me in front of the tv and held my eyes open the whole time. Desperate times call for desperate measures.) for the world! John Smith has somewhat become my male ideal ;)
