Please keep my Grandpa in your thoughts and prayers.
My Sister just called to tell me that our Grandpa Bill was cooking breakfast, this morning, and he had a heart attack. She said that they took him to the local hospital, where they administered a shot. They are now transporting him to a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which is around 75 miles away from where my Grandma and Grandpa live. My Sister is very upset, and crying. She found out from our Mom. My Sister told me that my Mom is so upset, that she can't even think straight. My Sister doesn't know his condition, or exactly where they are taking him. I'm just stuck here, waiting on word. I am praying, and I just need to ask that all of you here will keep him in your thoughts and prayers. He's such a wonderful man, who brings joy to so many people. I only pray that God isn't taking him home, just yet. We still need him here.

I would like to thank those of you who have put my Grandpa and family into your prayers. I appreciate the three of you who have posted. Dottie, Prudence, and PixarFan2006, I love you guys/gals.
My Grandfather was transported, via helicopter, to a hospital close to where I live. They took him into surgery, and 11 minutes later, they were finished. He was in the middle of having the heart attack. Before they transported him via helicopter, they gave him a shot of something to slow his heart. While they were in surgery, they found that he had complete blockage of an artery on the right side. They put in a stint. They also found that he had other blockage, which they will take care of, at another date. They were able to stop the heart attack, and he suffered minimal damage to his heart. He is doing well, both physically and mentally. He was alert, and joking with all of us, just as always. I just got home from the hospital, and they were preparing to let him eat dinner. He is doing so well. The hospital specializes in heart treatment, and it is a very nice facility. The staff are very nice.
I thank God that my Grandpa is still with us. I would be heartbroken if he were taken from us. I know that we all go, someday, but, I hope that's not for a long time.
Again, thanks for the thoughts and prayers. I appreciate those of you who offer them, more than you know. Thank you.

I was never much of a person who knew what exactly to say to make them laugh or feel better. Just know we're all here for you, MadonnasManOne. Don't forget that we all have our tough times and that we must be strong and not forget to live.
Glad to hear he's gotten better.
(It makes me wonder where you got all your strength defending John & Pixar.)

I'm sorry to hear this, MM1. Your grandpa, as well as you and the rest of your family, will be in my prayers. I'm glad to hear that he's doing better and I hope he will be fully recovered very soon.

Again, thanks for all the well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. I appreciate you all. I really do.
Just a quick update. My Grandpa is doing very well. My Mom told me that my Aunt Janice called him, this morning, and that he was doing very well, waiting for them to bring his breakfast. He told her that he feels much better than he has in a long time. My Mom said that they have scheduled the surgery to clean out his other artery on Monday. He's anxious to get out, and get back to life. He really wants to get out on the lake, and go fishing. His hobby, his whole life, has been fishing. I am so happy that he is doing well, and pray that he continues to do well.
I appreciate your continued well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. They really do help.

I wanted to update those who are keeping my Grandpa in their thoughts and prayers.
He had the surgery on the other artery, today. They put in a stint, and everything went well. The blockages to his heart are now clear. He's doing well. He's ready to be out of the hospital. I don't blame him. No matter how good they treat you, how many visitors you have, or how many drugs they give you, it's just no fun to be laying in a bed, in the same room, for several days.
They found an aneurism in his stomach on Friday. Today, when they put the stint into the left artery of his heart, they looked at the aneurism. They say it's a pretty good size. They are going to put a stint into it, but, they will not do that for another six weeks. He is supposed to be released from the hospital on Wednesday. I am so happy that he is doing well.
Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. I ask that you continue, because he still has a little ways to go. I sincerely appreciate all the thoughts and prayers.

Oh, M. I hope everything is going well in your household, and to cheer you up I found some (hopefully) interesting news on Madge, from one fan to another:

2 DVD's!!!! BAT & RIT?!MadonnaTribe is happy to inform its readers that word is just out that Mrs Ritchie will be releasing a big "Best Of" package later this year.
At the moment Warner Music is planning to release a complete "Best Of" Madonna collection in October 2007 to celebrate the Queen of Pop's 25 year career.
We have received matching info from our own sources, but we're reporting about this now because reputable UK industry paper Music Week also mentioned the release of a "Best Of" Box Set made of 3 audio CDs and 2 DVDs a few days ago.
Stay tuned to MadonnaTribe for more exciting news when available. Thanks to James.

Thanks, The Little Merman. I had actually read an interview recently, where Madonna mentioned working on a career retrospective, which she mentioned would be released later this year. This is very exciting news. I would like to believe the 2 DVD's would be those two tours, but, I am betting it's her videos, with various versions. Either way, this is exciting. All this, and she's currently in the studio working with Timbaland and Swizz Beatz, according to several reports. Apparently, she's set to deliver the new album to Warner Bros. by November! I swear, the woman is a workaholic! The Little Merman wrote:Oh, M. I just wanted to give a quick update on my Grandpa, for those who care to know.
He was released from the hopsital, yesterday. He is doing well. Both of his surgeries went well, and the blockages are clear. He will have to return in 4-6 weeks to have a stint put into the anuerism in his stomach. I want to thank those who have sent their well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. My Grandpa, my family, and I truly appreciate them.
