Disney Anniversary

Post by Sulley »

Here it is folks. 14 years ago, on November 17th, 1989, a landmark was made. Walt Disney Pictures' Feature Animation came back into our hearts with a bang, presenting their 28th full-length film, The Little Mermaid. Possibly the most popular Disney film, The Little Mermaid is memorable for its wonderful animation, memorable characters, and amazing music. It's one of my favorites, and it paved the way for many of my other favorites (mainly because of Alan Menken) including Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I hope this is rereleased in theaters again, as I missed it the last time. I encourage all to see it, for those who haven't (if any) and for those who love it (almost all). Happy Birthday to Ariel, Sebastian, King Triton, Flounder, Scuttle, Eric, Flotsam, Jetsom, and of course, the fantastic Ursula! :D
What would this wretched world be like without Disney?

Ah the memories.
I was a senior in High School.

A salute to my all-time favorite Disney Animated Classic
