20000 leagues attraction

Post by bradhig »

Wasn't there a ride featured a replica of the nautilus from the 1954 disney version? Did people ride in the subs?

i think disney sea in tokyo has this attraction now...not sure if they ride in the sibs there...but here at wdw we didihave it where you ride in the subs mostly underwater, but that attraction here closed and they paved it over to make an ariel playground for kids and a meet n greet area...which i dont mind cause that ride incl. this screeching underewater noise that drove me crazy...but you didi get in a battle with the giant octopus...

Disneyland, because Tomorrowland was so empty, when it opened had a 20,000 exhibit with sets from the movie--it stayed open some 10+ years it turne dout to be so popular. I always wondered if the Disneyland Paris walkthrough was inspired by this. The WDW ride was basiclaly a nautilus themed take on the DL submarines and Tokyo Sea's is an entirely new ride where it only seems like water is involved
