Disney Villains

Post by Jay »

I am going to disney for a class trip and I wondered where the best place to find villains in the park would be. Villains like Cruella, Jafar, Maleficent, and The White Witch. Thanks! :)

Actually, I think villain findings are pretty rare, at least compared to those of the princesses and Pooh characters.

Usually in Adventureland (WDW MK), Jafar is one of the characters out for Meet'n'Greets, along with Aladdin, Jasmine, and Genie. It alternates among the four of them, but I've seen him there quite a lot. You can also frequently find Captain Hook and Smee in Adventureland by El Pirata y El Perico, and Peter Pan and Wendy are almost always with them too.

I think Cruella De Vil sometimes comes out on Main Street, and Ratcliffe used to be a constant character on Main Street as well, but I haven't seen much of him.

A few times I've seen the Queen of Hearts around the Castle hub, but those appearances are few and far between now.

Don't know much about the other parks in WDW, since I've only worked in MK.

Cruella De Vil and the Queen from Snow White (sometimes called Snow Queen or Snow Witch for some reason if you get their autograph) have been seen in Disney Studios. Your best bet is to check the park guide / showtime schedule or ask the character finder. They usually have a big binder with all the characters and where and when they'll be appearing for the day. I think (s)he is on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom. Then again, I may be wrong and (s)he might only be in Disneyland...Hmmmmm...

Anyhow, if you ask someone at Guest Relations, they'll surely be able to help you.

One morning last year we saw Cruella DeVil and Governor Ratigan wandering around the main square at the entrance to Main Street USA / entrance of the Park.

I saw the Queen of Hearts on my first evening at the Park. And the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Prince John was at the character breakfast in the Plaza Gardens Restaurant.

Saw Jafar in a meet and greet one day around the castle.

Saw several villains in the Walt Disney Studio's Parade, including Cruella DeVil, Captain Hook and Mr. Smee.

There certainly seems to be plenty of villains around. Best places to see characters outside the scheduled meet and greets seem to be the entrance to both parks first thing in the morning, and again in the evening, last hour or so before the park closes.

Prince John is often on Main Street. I've only ever seen Cruella in the parade. I want to say that I saw the Sheriff of Nottingham on Main Street one time.

Well I went to DisneyWorld in Florida and only saw villains twice and that was at the parades. One parade there was a float and on it was The Queen, Ursula, Cruella, Jafar and The Big Bad Wolf. Then at a night time parade there were The Queen and Captian Hook. Actually there wasn't that many characters out and about.

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but when I went to DisneyWorld Florida a few years back, I saw the following villains:

Maleficent
Jafar
Cruella DeVil
The Evil Queen
Snow Witch
Judge Claude Frollo
Captain Hook & Mr. Smee
Governor Ratcliff
Prince John
Gaston
J Worthington Foulfellow
The Queen of Hearts
The Sheriff of Nottingham

Now, keep in mind two things:
1. That I went out of my way to find as many villains as I could
2. It was Halloween time

Villians

Post by Prince Charming 12 »

One area at WDW that was not mentioned yet is in Mickey's Toontown Fair. If you visit the Toontown Hall of Fame Tent throughtout the day, you will find a selection of characters available for your photos and autographs. Inside the hall, three lines are formed with each representing a group of characters denoted by the sign above (e.g., princesses, pooh and friends, villians, etc.) The sign will tell you who is presently represented in the room so make your selection accordingly. Some of the lines can get quite long (e.g., princesses) so check it out before you hop into one. And it does change throughout the day.
I have seen villians represented there, but it is very rare. Lets face it, they are not our favorite folks to meet and greet!

Good luck.[/quote]
