Your thoughts on the DCOM "Jump In"

Post by Matt »

Yeah, so I saw most of the movie last night and it was a typical movie. Nothing special, you kinda knew what was going to happen next. The characters really did not act well. The only thing good was the ending scene when they were in the contest lol, that was it. :)

What did you guys think?

When I saw the previews/music videos for this film, I was captivated by the sport (double Dutch), its cast were interestings and there weren't that many plot points like previous DCOMs would throw in our face. The music were quite fun to listen to, especialy "Push It To The Limit", although the film was revolved bout following your goals/trying something new, it was filled with heart. I hope the next DCOM could be pg 13 and has a engaging plot.

write back please

It wasn't another musical. :)

I actually quite liked it a lot. I could relate to Izzy so much being in the middle of two sports, friends being sorry but you ignore them, and the whole father-son relationship.

This is by far, my favorite DCOM.

I liked the movie. The story was predictable, i.e. father pushing dreams upon the son/son wanting to do his own thing/son doing his own thing/father initially resenting it, but ultimately accepts. I was impressed with Corbin Bleu's physical abilities, and I'm sure it wasn't easy to learn both boxing and double dutch. He can sing pretty well too!

I really loved this, regardless of its few clichés. Corbin Bleu didn't hurt too much either.

I really liked "Jump In!". Not as much as "High School Musical". But it was good. I liked the story, and the athleticism was very impressive. And I agree with your last sentence, The Little Merman!

Well, I thought it was better than Read It and Weep lol. It wasn't SO bad, but it was no High School Musical
But the thing that makes Woody special, is he'll never give up on you... ever. He'll be there for you, no matter what.

My kids were eagerly looking forward to this one. Overall, I thought it was a better than average tv movie. I didn't like it as much as High School Musical - but I'm partial to musicals. My kids loved it and we'll be buying this one on dvd.

But seriously, Disney - why can't the mother ever be alive?!?

It reminded me of High School Musical. It was definitely a good movie, but not as good as HSM. It was the jock that got involved in something that wouldn't be accepted by those around him, practices in secret, eventually has to choose or do something about it, then ends up on stage with a huge crowd cheering for him.

Pretty similar if you ask me..
Disney on Broadway:
Beauty and the Beast - December 2, 2006
The Lion King - February 28, 2007 & February 16, 2008
The Little Mermaid - December 12, 2007, December 22, 2007 & January 7, 2009
Mary Poppins - February 1, 2009

I liked this one more than HSM. Especially that song "Push it to the limit." That was pretty cool. Around here, even after all this time, all I hear in the radio is "Breaking free." Hate that song!
