Aladdins Oasis??

At least I think thats what it was called. I remember going to Disney World circa 1998 and there was this place that if I remember correctly was called Aladdins Oasis. Maybe it had a completely different name but for some reason that name comes to mind. It was either in Magic Kingdom or MGM, Im pretty sure it was the latter. Basically it was like a restaurant in the bottom and then on the second level there was a bar. Also, I remember there being the stone steps leading up to the lamp like in the movie and you could go up and rub it and if you got lucky, Genie would randomly pop up. Does anyone have any clue whatsoever as to what Im talking about?? Its been in my head for the past couple of days and if someone doesnt confirm it soon, Im gonna go crazy!!

I do. I don't remember the name, so I can't help you there. However, that was my family's meeting place when we would seperate at MGM. We would go ride rides and my parents would be at the bar upstairs. I can say that there was decorative steps leading to the lamp, but they used force perspective and you couldn't climb them. And the Genie never popped out from what I saw. But there were props used in various movies in that place and it was Aladdin themed and the characters would be in there for guests dining to meet and get autographs. The Aladdin stuff was removed and it became just a bar for a while. Then it became "Playhouse Disney Live on Stage!" and the bar was removed. Now my parents go to the bar at the 50's Prime Time Cafe. lol.

Oh thank god!! I thought I was starting to go crazy! Its a shame they took that place down, it was pretty cool.
