Techscape Pop-Up

Post by Loomis »

Heya Luke,

when I go to various pages on the forum, I seem to get a pop up asking me to login to Techscape.

It reads:
The server techscape.com at cPanel requires a username and password.

Warning: This server is requesting that your username and password be sent in an insecure manner (basic authentication without a secure connection).
This doesn't seem to be happening with any other site, and clicking cancel seems to get rid of the box. Anything to do with you guys?

I've been getting this also, and just this site too. I wonder if something is wrong.

I haven't seen anything like this and it's the first I heard of it. Sounds very strange. Is it persisting?

Edit: Hmm, I just came across it in the Favorite Male Character from the 1920s thread. If we can all trace the occurrence back to this thread, perhaps it's just the smilie in Prince Phillip's 3½-year-old post that's causing the pop-up? Either that, or someone's avatar perhaps?

Yup, just checked back to the forum without a hitch EXCEPT when I visited the '20s male' thread.

Guess that would be the culprit.
