Wow! I can't believe someone could actually have a top 27 list of Disney movies and not have The Lion King. I realize there are a lot of people here at UD who aren't particularly fond of the film, but I how can you not have TLK in a top 27? Not criticizing.... just pondering!

I have a REALLY strange way of ordering my top favorites, but I'll try to post them here:
These four are (and most likely always will be) by all-time-favorite Disney Animated Classics. They all tie for the #1 spot, equally. Whichever rules higher on the list just depends on my mood at that minute. But it's always too close to call.
-The Lion King
-Beauty and the Beast
-Fantasia
-The Jungle Book
Then, I have another rank, just below the top 4 (#1's) (These are my #2 favorites collectively). Again, it's not in any order:
-Aladdin
-Bambi
-Alice in Wonderland
-101 Dalmatians
-The Emperor's New Groove
-Brother Bear
Then, I have (yet another) rank (which is sort of like my #3 favorites combined...) (IN ORDER)
-Lady and the Tramp
-Mulan
-Fox and the Hound
-The Aristocats
-Peter Pan
-Dumbo
Then, the next rank (#4's) are the early Princess films:(Sort of In Order..)
-Cinderella
-Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
-Sleeping Beauty
Then, somewhere deep down in the depths of the ocean.....
-The Little Mermaid
(Sorry, I couldn't help it.
I'm not really much of a TLM fan. I don't really see what the big hooplah is about it...)
And, all of the others that I didn't mention (primarily Tarzan, Hercules, and Hunchback) I just haven't seen in such a long time, and I know I have favorites parts from the films, but they weren't ranked yet. Also, I haven't truely seen Pinocchio yet. I have seen the animation in it's entirity, but the film was in Italian. Then I saw it again in French. Loved it, but I had NO IDEA what they were saying. So, since I haven't really seen Pinocchio (in english) yet, I didn't rank it. But I have a feeling like it will be one of my #2's.
enjoy!

Well thats my favorite 27 Disney movies...Even though some of the rank low I still think they are great movies, just ones I rarley watch or if someone feels like watching it I'll watch it too. But I think the first 10 are the ones I can watch over and over again. And the next ten movies are ones I enjoy watching when ever I randomly pop it in the DVD player. Nonetheless I like every Disney Animated Movie, and its hard to say which one I like better.
I have never seen The Black Cauldron before, and I havent seen Fantasia in years so I can't remember, so I couldnt rank them.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there isn't a single Disney DVD logo anywhere on my PIXAR collection. And, I don't think there is a logo on any of your PIXAR DVDs.numba1lostboy wrote:What about them isn't Disney? Was it the giant Disney logo on the DVDs that threw you off?

Hmmm this is a thinker, and 27 is a weird number, usually things like this are in multiples of 5 (20,25,30 etc). So here's my list, the first 10 or so aren't in any particular order, anything after that is a movie I would just grab randomly off the shelf.

Hmm, I love pretty much all of them, except for Chicken Little and Atlantis, which are just "watchable." Haven't seen Home on the Range, Heffalump Movie, The Wild, or Valiant yet. Hope I'm not forgetting anything. Anyways, here's 27 from me, not including direct to video ones. I will TRY to put them in order, 1 being my fave, but it won't be set in stone. It would be more accurate for me to group them by ties, but I just don't have time.
1. Beauty and the Beast
2. Little Mermaid
3. Jungle Book
4. Toy Story 2
5. Peter Pan

21. Pinocchio
22. Treasure Planet
23. A Goofy Movie
24. Alice in Wonderland
25. Bambi
26. Robin Hood
27. Sword in the Stone
Okay, after doing that, I've decided there is no way I can be accurate with this. Maybe if I had them all listed out before me and at least an hour to contemplate it... As is, I'm not even sure which ones I forget about completely...

Re: My top 27 disney animated movies.
While they weren't animated in-house, the films in question are widely referred to as Disney/PIXAR films. Yeah, Disney didn't do any of the work, but Disney is so big now that opinions on what truly is and isn't "Disney" varies. In my opinion, and what I would also suspect is the popular opinion, if they sell the merchandise in the Disney Store, then it counts as Disney, and, boy, do they ever sell the Disney/PIXAR stuff.TheSequelofDisney wrote:Sorry to burst your bubble, but there isn't a single Disney DVD logo anywhere on my PIXAR collection.
