Everyone's Favourite Lesser Known Disney Songs

Post by Atlantica »

I'm not talking about all of the ones that have won oscars, but the lesser known songs that have touched your heart, or you just love them as they are fab!

Here are mine:

Snow White - The Dwarfs Yodel Song

Dumbo - Baby Mine

Cinderella - Sing Sweet Nightingale

Alice in Wonderland - Very Good Advice/Painting The Roses Red

Peter Pan - Your Mother and Mine

Sleeping Beauty - Not really a song, but the bit where Meleficent sings "Aurora...."

The Rescuers - Someone's Waiting For You (all of the songs from this movie are horribly under-used)

The Little Mermaid - Part Of Your World Reprise (well known, but its probably my favourite song from the movie)

Beauty and the Beast - Something There

Pocahontas - Listen With Your Heart

The Hunchback of Notre Dame - God Help The Outcasts

Tarzan - Strangers Like Me

Well, I think thats it. YOu don't have to go through the whole list like I have done, just list what you like!!! :)

I absolutely love "Hellfire" from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It's the only part of that movie I like. And even though it's not as well-known as "Gaston", I think "The Mob Song" is one of the best villain songs ever.

I love "Savages" in Pocahontas so much. Especially the part where Pocahontas sings, the harmonics are so beautiful.

Mine might be a bit of a long list. :D

"Baby Mine" ~ Dumbo
"Very Good Advice" ~ Alice In Wonderland
"Sing Sweet Nightingale" ~ Cinderella(The only song from the movie I enjoyed)
"Things Are Not What They Appear" ~ Pocahontas II (I haven't seen this sequel in a while, but I remember enjoying just every song there was)
"Just Around the Riverbend" ~ Pocahontas (I can't believe this often gets pushed over by Colors of the Wind)
"Perfect Isn't Easy" ~ Oliver & Company
"Honor to Us All" ~ Mulan
"Forget About Love" ~ Return of Jafar
"One Jump Ahead (Reprise)" ~ Aladdin (the "to me" part at the end is probably what got me)
"Belle (Reprise)" ~ Beauty and the Beast
"As Long As There's Christmas" ~ Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas
Image
Listening to most often lately:
Taylor Swift ~ ~ "The Fate of Ophelia"
Taylor Swift ~ "Eldest Daughter"
Taylor Swift ~ "CANCELLED!"

Oh, I forgot sequals!

Here are mine-

The Little Mermaid II ~ Return to the Sea ~ : Down To the Sea, For A Moment, Here On The Land And Sea

Beauty and the Beast ~ The Enchanted Christmas: Stories

The Lion King II ~ Simba's Pride: We Are One

Pocahontas II ~ Journey To A New World: Where Do I Go From Here

I know some people hate these movies, but sometims the songs featured in them can be beautiful. My favourite of all of them is 'Stories' from BATBII. A wonderful, toughing song. Oh! And I also love the Disney Princess song, "If You Can Dream" !! :D

I meant it "fits" since Christmas is near. I hope I used the right term, English is my second language ;)

"Hellfire"

I have to say that this IS my favorite Disney song ever written. I find myself humming it all the time. And I only wish that I had the DVD of Hunchback so I don't have to go all the way through my VHS.

Basically a lot of my favorite "lesser-known" songs are on Disney Divinity's list.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs - One Song
Dumbo - Baby Mine
Bambi - Little April Shower
Cinderella - Sing, Sweet Nightingale
Beauty and the Beast - The Mob Song
Aladdin - One Jump Ahead (the actual song and the reprise)
Pocahontas - Just Around the Riverbend & Steady As the Beating Drum
The Hunchback of Notre Dame - Out There
Mulan - Honor to Us All

I also really like the songs sung at the beginning credits of most of the older classics, such as "Love Is a Song" and "Cinderella."

'Beyond The Laughing Sky"! I love this song sooo much, even though technically it isnt even a official disney song, and then the tune was reused for second star to the right, It's still one of my favorite disney songs lesser known or not.

Yep, you're right. My mistake. I should've written I 2 I instead of 1 2 1.
