i hope this is not true!!!!

I don't have a problem, per se, with this. Technology certainly has changed since these films were animated and I can appreciate the fact that the oroginal writers want to do some things they weren't able to do at the time.chrisrose wrote:
I also hate their new trend (Beauty & The Beast, Lion King) of re-animating some scenes just because they can make it look fancier/more CGI now. Bleh. To hell with preserving the original as a work of art that should be treated with reverence. Everything has to be flashier and "up-to-date". Eisner would probably re-draw the Mona Lisa too and give her a big wide toothy grin, if he could! Or pouty 3-D lips. And he'd have her singing an All New Song! called "Here's Why I Smile So Mysteriously"
Now now, Lucas has only messed with five movies: Star Wars I, II, IV, V, and VI. Eisner so far has only messed with two movies: Beauty and the Beast and the Lion King. We have no proof (well, hopefully not) that others will be changed (Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Tarzan, Snow White, etc.)BasilOfBakerStreet427 wrote:Enough with the new music.Eisner's becoming Lucas overnight.
Six - don't forget American Graffiti (the closing scene was altered for the DVD). And to be fair, it's not as if Lucas has many other films to mess with. Percentage wise he's altered over 50% of his films if not more! (I can only think of 5 more Lucas films).Captain Hook wrote:Now now, Lucas has only messed with five movies: Star Wars I, II, IV, V, and VI.

Although, personally, I find myself watching the SE of B&TB more than the original version...
I mean, I've never heard of this "Sunshine only Shines on Land" song, but maybe it was one of the originals that didn't make the cut. If that was the case, I'd welcome its addition.
