NEW DISNEY MOVIE CLUB EXCLUSIVES
Sorry if this has already been posted.
There are 2 new Disney Movie Club Exclusive Movies.
First off I have never heard of this movie. The name of the movie is:
The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit
The Complete Fisrt season of Zorro - 5 disc box set.
This set was first thought only available as a box set from the Disney Movie Rewards Program but it would seem its now available through the Disney Movie Club.
Now I found this info not on the site of Disney Movie Club but rather in the mail form it shows a picture of both of these new exclusives. The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit is $19.95 and the 5-disc box set of Zorro The Complte First Season is $59.95. This Info is not on the Disney Movie Rewards site at all. I even did a search. I would think it would appear soon since its on a flyer. I would scan it or take a picture of it but alas I do not have a Scanner nor a Digital Camera.

So basically anyone who was so inclined as to buy Discs 1 through 5 of the Zorro: Season 1 set has paid $40 more than what the set of them can now be bought for? Awesome.
The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit was apparently originally fell under the Touchstone banner, but perhaps it's either been relabeled Disney or remained vague for this release.

According to the picture on the box The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit is labled with the Disney DVD Logo.Luke wrote:So basically anyone who was so inclined as to buy Discs 1 through 5 of the Zorro: Season 1 set has paid $40 more than what the set of them can now be bought for? Awesome.![]()

As for the Zorro set... I guess the early bird who got the worm paid more for the worm than the people who waited patiently for it....

As DisneyDVDFan mentioned it does come in a box set. In addition to that the box set costs $59.99. So That means you spent over $40 more for the unboxed set.... Now excuse me while i stand back for you to explode at Disney.goofystitch wrote:jrboy or anyone else who orders the complete first season of "Zorro," let me know if it comes in a box. I'm going to be mad if there is now a box to hold all 5 discs since I couldn't wait and own them all already.
Because it's $21.95 for each disc if you bought separtley. So that comes to a total of... $109.50 and that does not even include shipping.....

I know it is pictured in a box, but DMC's pictures are often wrong and that picture is of the R2 full season box set, so I'm curious if it actually comes in a box or if Disney just markets it that way. I'll wait until somebody receives their full season and can verify wether or not it actually comes with a box.

I agree..
Well I would agree. I would be angry too with the DMC if i were in your situation. I know Disney double dips but that is sad of disney. They should at least give you a box to keep them in in response to this. I mean if the price was the same then maybe it wouldn't but the price went down. Perhaps if DMC does not give you a refund or at least a Box to put them in perhaps you could start an online petition if the DMC doesn't refund you or give you at lest one of the boxes to put the set in.goofystitch wrote:Thanks DisneyDVDFAN. You can bet that I will be on the phone with the DMC tomorrow asking them to send me a box (and possibly a refund) because that is outrageously wrong of them to do. They should offer the box to the many who bought the discs individually.
Also You Can't Call them tomorrow... It's Saturday. I think their 1-800 number is closed on the weekends not too mention a Holiday Weekend. Although I could be wrong. However you could e-mail them as well about your complaint and still call them. Now excuse me while I try to evacute the forums before Goofystitch explodes

I'll call on Monday. I'm not going to explode disneyboy20022. lol. I'm not outraged or anything, but it is wrong and it would be nice to have a box to put the DVD's in. It's not the end of the world, but they should honor members who have continually supported the club and if they want to give me something like a free DVD credit, I won't complain. lol. I'm not going to call them mad and I don't think enough people would care enough about a box and a decline in price 6 months later because these things happen everyday in stores ("I Love Lucy" Season 1). If they don't give me the box, I might buy it and sell the DVD's on ebay since they go for a lot, so I would get my money back.

Uhh.. I would highly advise against selling them on E-bay... One guy posted that he got kicked out of the DMC and it turns out that he sold a DMC Exclusive on Ebay. since they highly discourage people from re-selling their DMC Exclusives . It says something about do not sell secondary the DMC Exclusive Movies in the fine print of the contact agreement. So Take into consideration the story from the post below before you sell on E-Bay your DMC Exclusives.goofystitch wrote: I might buy it and sell the DVD's on ebay since they go for a lot, so I would get my money back.
But do keep us up to date on IF Disney sends you a case for the box set or if they give you a discount or refund or anything when you have an update on Monday

Thanks for that disneyboy20022. When I joined, it was before they even had DMC exclusive DVD's, but it could have still been in my agreement. I will never ever sell anything like that on ebay. lol. I like being in the club, I just want the box. I'll let everyone know if they will give it to me. Otherwise it's just not worth it, but they can bet that the next time they release a TV series in incraments, I will be holding out.

I just got around to calling and I asked about the Zorro box. They do not give it to club members who already own the 5 volumes. While this is irritating, the box isn't the end of the world and the woman on the phone was nice and I didn't want to give her a hastle. If I can find someone who expresses interest in owning the series for Christmas, I might buy it and just keep the box and give them the DVD's, otherwise my Zorro season 1 will be box-less. Also, if any of you wanted the ornaments, they are backordered so I may not even get mine, but it would be worth ordering them asap so you might get them. They are Mickey, Tinker Bell, and Tigger.
