I've been looking for this toon for a while now... DVD, YouTube, you name it! I can't find it. It aired on 1987 on NBC... basically the toon is about Goofy saving the day with his awesome soccer skills. If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it! I'll also consider paying for help.

Transactions like this is illegal (little thing called copyright infringement) and should be frowned upon if carried out, but if done regardless, would be best done via e-mail and not publicly on UD.2ndrookie wrote:Is it possible you can rip it for me and put it on DVD? I'm willing to pay $10 for your trouble. I'll also add an extra $5 if you can put the whole toon on youtube!

This was a great TV episode of the Disney Anthology when it was on NBC. Had Scrooge McDuck interacting with Goofy, Huey, Louie, and Dewey looking like they did in Scrooge McDuck and Money (if I remember correctly) but with DuckTales voices, the Beagle Boys looking more like they did in the comics (all identical), and some really solid comedy. The soccer game was reminiscent of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, it was just great! Only weird thing was not having Alan Young voice Scrooge. Oh, what I really loved was that Scrooge's clothes matched more closely his comic book colors (not the red and blue of Ducktales, but gray and maroonish). Anyways, it totally stinks that they haven't released this on DVD for us here in the U.S. Not interested in ordering region 2 stuff myself. But they released a sports themed DVD here too, didn't they? And yet it didn't have this one... Oh well, still waiting for Fluppy Dogs, Totally Minnie, Muppets At Walt Disney World, and Mickey's 60th Birthday Party too. Did I forget anything? I wonder if "A DuckTales Valentine" will be included in any of the DuckTales DVD sets, as I think it premiered as an episode of "Wonderful World of Disney" too.

I remember that special when it was on the "Magical World of Disney". I used to record that on my home cassette recorder where I used to have. It was on WNBC-TV (channel 4) in New York City back on New Year's Day, 1989. I played it over and over again on my cassette tape. I used to have it, but now it's gone, a long time ago. I remember seeing "An All New Adventure of Disney's Sport Goofy" where it features "Sport Goofy in Soccermania" with Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey & Louie and the Beagle Boys and Gyro Gearloose. All from the "DuckTales" TV show and Goofy, which was not part of "DuckTales". The voice of Goofy on that special was made by Tony Pope. That was before Bill Farmer joined in as the voice of Goofy and he still does his voice today. I remember "Soccermania" and I missed that special.slave2moonlight wrote:This was a great TV episode of the Disney Anthology when it was on NBC. Ha, I'm pretty sure Gyro was only in it for like 1, second, maybe too. There was also a duck that may have been grandma duck. Their parts were very tiny, because they were just shown for a second as the film was showing public reaction when reading the newspaper about the soccer games. Yeah, it was similar to DuckTales because it was in Duckburg, so it had a lot of Duckburg characters, but, aside from Goofy being there, it seemed more closely inspired by the Scrooge comics, which was very cool. I think Gyro even had Lil' Helper with him.
