Tarzan Collector's Edition currently at wherehouse.com

Post by joltman »

Right now at wherehouse.com, the Tarzan Collector's Edition (you know, the one that acutally WAS two discs) is available. It's 22.99, and there's a sale right now for 30% off if you use the code BIGSALE at checkout, bringing the total to about $16.09 before shipping and tax. For instance, with PA sales tax (6%) the total comes to $20.18 with shipping and tax just for that.
Just wanted to let others know that might be interested. And yes, I already ordered my copy ;)
EDIT: Oh yea, here's the link http://www.wherehouse.com/movies/produc ... id=1013509

Out of stock already. I checked this earlier this morning at a friends house and was going to order when I got home. I have been looking for this but I guess I'll keep looking. Thanks for the tip though!

Glad I got this when it came out. I've been able to avoid the rereleases of this one and Emperor's New Groove because I got the 2 disc editions. Got the Atlantis one too, though I don't know if they'll ever rerelease that one, ha. However, I definitely prefer it when they ONLY release a 2-disc version. The price is better and there's no confusion. I also hate when they sell Widescreen AND Fullscreen DVDs. Target usually only has Fullscreen, and sometimes Wal-Mart too. I accidentally ended up with a fullscreen 102 Dalmatians thanks to Wal-Mart, since I hadn't run into the dual release problem before getting that one. Back to the 2-disc thing though. I've been really annoyed lately because I haven't been able to buy some of my fave films, because they have been releasing them on 2-disc and single disc and only putting the single disc on sale. Because money is tight for me nowadays, I've had to delay my purchases of King Kong, Phantom of the Opera, Narnia, and many others... Might just try to get the multi disc sets of those since I waited anyway, but don't know if I'll be able to afford them...

I wonder why Disney didn't jazz up the cover for the "Tarzan: Collector's Editon" DVD by adding foil bits to the cover like they did on Atlantis and Emperor's New Groove's Collector's Editions.

Well, the Disney Movie Club still has Atlantis: Collector's Edition and Dinosaur: Collector's Edition. I ordered D:CE with my initial purchase, but I just ordered Atlantis:CE a couple days before online...but, at least you can get legit copies.
