Silly Symphonies and MM in Living Color 1 Available?!

Post by so it goes »

I got the new mailer in yesterday and they had the page of treasures with only Goofy listed as sold out. Silly Symphonies and Mickey Mouse in Living Color vol. 1 where listed as well. I called this morning and they said they had them in stock and let me order.

Last I knew these where all sold out and unavailable. I'm thinking this might get canceled, but if not then I am very excited. Just a heads up for anyone interested, although I still think it might be a mistake.

I was able to order it as well. I'm not sure where the extra copies came from but now all I need is Goofy and MM in B&W Vol. 1.

Where do all these copies keep turning up from? They just must find them stored somewhere and mislabeled or something.

I got the Silly Symphonies as well about 9 months ago from the DMC. I asked about it and they said they keep several copies back in case they have to replace defective DVDs. The one I got was one designated to be a replacement. At that time they had a few of those and only a couple of the Goofy's. I'm sure all of the Goofs are gone by now.
...and so you two are absolutely identical? You know I'm sure I can get you a part in Toy Story 3... I'm sorry. Are we back? All right girls...lovely talking to you.

I received my Silly Symphonies, a steal at $33. I talked with a castmember and Goofy is not available but everything from wave 1 was. I don't know if that's still true or not as it was about 1 1/2 weeks ago.

I just ordered Davy Crockett and Mickey Mouse in Living Color I today so they are still available. I used the Halloween offer on the movie club home page and got them for $25.46 each and free shipping. It's a better deal than anything I've seen on Ebay.

Well I'm disappointed. My order came today and it had MMLC Vol. 2 instead of 1. When I ordered, I asked the cast member twice if this really was volume one and she said yes. I couldn't verify anything with the email confirmation because the end of the title was cut off. When I called today the castmember said they would send me a label to return it at no expense to me, but that they had no Volume 1 left in stock. (She also said the gal who took my order was new and might not have looked in the right place on the screen to see it was sold out). I guess it's back to ebay.

I just called DMC to try to order some of those old Disney Treasures. I found out they ran out of Silly Symphonies already...a pity. She said they got about 100 a month ago and they ran out very quickly.

I did manage to get Davy Crockett, which I have wanted for a long time. They seem to have at least a few copies of that left.
