Mario Lopez and Emmitt Smith on 'Dancing With the Stars'

Post by dvdjunkie »

Did anyone catch Monique Coleman (High School Musical) and Mario Lopez (Saved By the Bell) on "Dancing With the Stars" this week.

Mario set the stage on fire with his partner and the judges all wanted to know where he hid his 'extra batteries'!!

Monique was beautiful and took a little harsh criticism in stride. She looked wonderful.

On the Wednesday night Results show we were held breathless to find out that she and Mario had both been voted on to next week's show.

This year's 'Stars' are quite a bit better than last year's. We did have our "Master P" this year in the form of Tucker Carlson, who was quickly voted off last night (Wednesday), thank goodness. At least we didn't have to suffer with his 'no-rhythm' dancing for more than one week.

Emmit Smith (Dallas Cowboys), NFL Hall of Fame running back, put on a good show. He really looked good. Joey Lawrence was really good, but the judges were over-critical, as they were with Harry Hamlin (L.A. Law), and Vivica A. Fox.

Surprise of the night was Jerry Springer. He looks like he actually was trying and may make it through another week. Sara Evans was out of her comfort zone, but I think she will do better in the coming weeks.

How many of you watched the show, and what did you think?

Yeah I watch Dancing with the Stars and Mario Lopez was the best also thougth Joey Lawrence was good the judges were hard on him.

Jerry Springer will be gone next week.

Monique Coleman was okay wasn't the big shocker of the night.

All of the rest of the dancers I really don't care about too bad Tucker wasn't good enough as a dancer then a news anchor.

Well at the end of week three we still have Jerry Springer, Joey Lawrence, Vivica A. Fox, Sara Evans, Mario Lopez, Willa Ford, Emmitt Smith, and Monique Coleman.

After this week's dances Willa Ford and Monique got the highest marks and were among the first to be saved until next week's show. This season has some really good dancers, and it was sad to see Harry Hamlin go, especially when Joey and Mario, along with Willa Ford were chastized by the judges for doing 'lifts' in their dance routines. With the low scores I thought for sure that Mario or Joey might have been given the boot. I am glad that they weren't because I think they are among the better dancers on the show this season.

If you just put one foot out of bounds in basketball, should you be allowed to continue the play, or should you be penalized? There are rules for the competition, and the dancers should follow them. Mario and Joey are talented, not to mention popular, enough that they do not have to break the rules to do well.

I don't think she will win, but I love Sara Evans, and I hope she at least makes the top five. My favorite from Tuesday was Monique. Smokin' hot!

Entertainment Tonight has predicted that the finals will be between Monique Coleman and Vivica A. Fox. I sort of agree. They are both the best right now and seem to be having the most fun doing it.

I really hope that Monique and Vivica make it to the end ... They have always impressed me with their routines ...

And I was so happy that they were tied for first place this week ...

Vivica is constantly improving week to week ... and Monique takes risks (while following the rules LOL) ...

Other favorites of mine are Emmitt ... Joey ... and badboy Mario LOL ...

Was not surprised that they didn't eliminate anyone last week after Sara Evans dropped out of the competition. I think Jerry Springer was surprised, because he had said his goodbyes to everyone prior to showtime.

This week he will get the axe, and then we will see Emmit Smith, and Joey Laurence fall, and the finals will be Monique and Mario.

Actually I hope this week Jerry goes ... then Joey Lawrence ...

Then I am sort of up in the air ...

I kind of don't want Mario in the final two ... just cuz he is so damn good ... he would most likely win ... and he would be just like Drew Lachey from last season ...

I would like to see the underdog win ... Emmitt or Monique ...

In fact it would be hot to see Emmitt and Monique in the final two ...

Mario & Monique would be good ... but most likely ... Mario would win ...

Emmitt & Mario would be sort of just like last season ... the "10" getting dancer vs the ex-football player "underdog" ...

I was disappointed Vivica left so soon ... especially since Sara and Jerry were still in the running and I wasn't impressed by either of them ...

A friend of mine was on the show and I had the chance to fly to Cali to see the show on Oct. 3rd live. Monique Coleman is a very sweet girl and now that Willa was (unfortunately) sent home I am voting for Monique and Joey. I do find Emmit very entertaining though :)

It is official.........Monique Coleman was voted off the show and will not be in the Semi-Finals next week. Mario Lopez is still going strong.

I think that Monique's fan base faded in the past couple of weeks, either that or those of you watching the show didn't vote for her because you liked someone else more.........or you didn't vote at all.

C'mon UDers, let's get behind Mario and vote him into the finals. I'd like to see Mario and Emmitt Smith in the finals.

That means you cast eight votes right? Because each account had four votes. I know that you were allowed to vote four times by telephone, which is how we choose to vote. I am still not a trusting person with the computer.

Sad to see Monique go. She will be back in two weeks for the Season Finale, as will all the other dancers who have lost out this season, including Tucker Carlson.

Whenever we've voted, we've gotten eight votes over the phone. Weird.

I'm not that sad to see Monique go- Honestly, I thought she was a weak dancer and an annoying person overall. I'll be voting for Emmit Smith, and hoping he and Mario make it to the finals. Joey's hair (or, more appropriately, lack thereof) really creeps me out.

I agree with you totally - it should be Mario and Emmitt in the finals. What a great show that would be. They get to pick their two dances themselves, and you that the 'game would be on' between those two.

I am definitely not missing the next two shows.

Online you can vote up to 5 times per account.

Just letting you know Bill.

I really want to see Joey go and Mario and Emmitt stay.

BTW what day will the final be aired Tuesday or Sunday?

Both of the last two shows will be on Tuesdays. Next week is the semi-finals and then the next week after that will the finale and the champion will be crowned on Wednesday November 15th.

What makes you think that they would change days of the week for the show. It has always been on Tuesday and Wednesday. Why would they change and screw up the voting.

My mom and I think the finale will be between Joey and Mario. While I love Emmet...I just don't think he's as good as the other two. Shrugs.
