Fables 3 & 4 - Now out in Australia

If anyone is interested - Fables 3 & 4 are now out "exclusively" at Target stores in Australia.

Ok, that is about the strangest news I've heard...

Was it you (Tony) who reported that 1 & 2 were exclusively there a little while back?

And there aren't that many Target stores near me. In fact, I can't think of that many in Sydney...outside of Westfield shopping centres...

There is that Disney PR working overtime again!

According to DVDBits, the Treasures are coming out February/March next year I think (at leat the Silly Symphonies and Mickey Mouse in Living Colour will be), so perhaps the Fables aren't really a worthwhile investment anyways. Hopefully they will get more promotion and wider sales than these!

Thanks for the info anyways, Tony. Might check out Target next time I'm in the neighbourhood. I might pick up #3 (which has Mathmagicland on it). Still find it a very strange move on Disney.au's part...

Yes Loomis, I believe it was I who reported a little while back about the Fables titles being exclusive at Target. The DVD boxes for 3 & 4 even have a sticker on them now saying "exclusive to Target", which 1 & 2 didn't.

I am from Sydney and only moved to the Gold Coast 1 year ago. I never had a problem finding a Target close by, but yes "most" are in Westfield shopping centres. Can you not get a friend who lives near a Target to pop in and get you a copy ?

Fables 3 is the only one that I am "considering". I have been told the video quality is not great, so I might just wait for wave 4 of the Treasures next year and hopefully the 3 shorts in Fables 3 will be in that wave. I am just appalled by BVHE in Australia. Why oh why wait 3 years to release the Treasures and then only release 2 of the first wave. Considering how many Australians travel to Disneyland each year, I can't believe they aren't releasing the Disneyland Treasures DVD first ! Fortunately I already have this DVD, but that's not the point.

Well, I'm not THAT far from a Target - I'm just lazy, and it isn't within my normal field of shopping. Still, I might go and investigate next weekend.
Of I could go to the Gold Coast in Feb, as per tradition and head out to Pacific Fair Even so, it is still a strange move for Disney to limit themselves to one chain store in this way.

Yeah, I may indeed just wait until Wave 4 Treasures, which will probably contain those shorts in either a Donald or Educational set. I may indeed be travelling to Disneyland (fingers crossed), so I would DEMAND something by BVHE.au to commemorate that Hee hee hee....
I also own all the Treasures now, but you are right - really not the point.

I think it might be time for another bake-off...
