I'm hope Yusogi Yuyimbo's in it.
And Ace Duck.
And Mutagen Man.
And Metalhead.
I don't think you guys would know who i'm talking about,
but in the 90's series these were trendy cameo characters.
Yusogi's in the new ones....
Shredders not in the movie, obviously cos he's dead, but hopefully
they put fresh new bad guys in it not just stupid Hun.
Turtles are hip.
Oooh they should randomly have the Technodrome in it.
I loved that thing

TMNT (2007)
Anyone looking forward to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles"? Well i am! just seen the teaser and it looks sooo cool that i can't believe it. It looks like it might be as good as the first two movies and just might include some other villains besides Shredder since he died in the second movie.
So is this a re-invention of the series like "Batman Begins"?

Actually... I think this is basically the first I've heard of this. But, I think they're just re-making the franchise based on the fact that- if 1 superhero can sell a movie, how about a whole team of them? I'm about as excited for this as I am for the new Transformers movie. This too, shall pass...

Oh man, this looks SO TERRIBLE. How can anyone think this looks cool? The animation is terrible, and every action sequence in that trailer was ripped off from any other generic action movie. The dialogue, the worst I've heard since having the displeasure of viewing Material Girls, was so bad one guy said out loud 'Well that looks shitty'. Blech.

Actually there's THREE TMNT movies. I've seen them all. I don't know if I want to see this one though. I'm kinda on the fence about it.DarthBoy wrote:Well i am! just seen the teaser and it looks sooo cool that i can't believe it. Ive only seen a few episodes of the new series so I cant really form an opinion on it. The CGI movie looks like it'll atleast be fun. But nothing will ever beat the original series and movie trilogy. I've held off of buying them actually because I think that when this new movie comes around, we might get better editions of the movies. (I hope!!!)

Hush now, PixarFan. Nobody's writing a rap song or a George Carlin routine here.
And I say- the Turtles were never overrated. They were very cool in the 1990's. Only... am I the only one who didn't really like TMNT: the Movie Part 3? That movie got all the best critical reviews of the series. Just because it was the lightest and most family-oriented of the series. The first two movies had better messages though and felt more real as action movies.

I loved the old movies and was a casual fan of the old cartoon. I didn't see much of the live-action TV show, but wanted to. Didn't it NOT have April in it? That was disappointing to me, if I'm remembering correctly. The more recent cartoon looked pretty neat. I never got a chance to get into it though. As for this new movie, I haven't seen ANY of the previews for it or anything, so I have no idea what to expect, but at the moment I am interested, naturally. Same with Transformers. The only transformers I ever watched was the original show, but when I was very little, I really liked it.
