Disney Healthy Viewing Guide

Post by Loomis »

I just found this amusing for some reason.

http://www.disney.com.au/disneyvideo/healthyviewing/

Disney Healthy Viewing Guide on the Disney Australia site.

Is your child watching too much TV/DVD/Video?
But it has links to "other titles available" on the right-hand side!

Actually, I think I fail all the tests. Except for the "Does your child pretend to be other characters?"
Mind you, I have been spending a lot of time in a 'Coon-skin cap, singing the Ballad of Davy Crockett lately...

Some of it might be interesting.
"Disney commissioned a ‘world first’ independent study of the television and video viewing habits of children aged between three and six years."
What, and they found they weren't watching ENOUGH Disney?
If you read on, it seems to be saying 'Disney provides a BETTER type of viewing for your young 'uns....'.

I don't know. I find it all a little scary...

You know, I'm not sure of the educational value of Peter Pan. Perhaps I should watch this "up to five times a week" to "absorb more".
Most of my Blu-ray collection some of my UK discs aren't on their database
