this is probably fake. i wouldnt imagine Disney releasing a DVD with Valentine shorts on it. if its true, then it is probably a DVD that wouldnt be noticed very easy.

No it's definitely not fake, if Josh posted it over at AnimatedBliss than I'm sure he has a reliable source. If you scroll down and read what I posted, you'll see that Disney has released several vhs cassettes under a similair "Disney Valentine" banner years back (1995 I believe) and while they weren't necessarily "Valentine" themed shorts, the cartoons all revolved around the theme of love in one way or another. The cover art seems to be directly reminiscent of these older titles also, I wish I had more info though...

You forgot the most important thing on that page! The Winnie the Pooh Valentine release!!
Any excuse for more Pooh...

As far as the Mickey & Minnie, the (probably correct) guesses on that forum as to what will be on the DVD seem to indicate that most of that stuff is available on the Treasures, or will be soon. Even so, I like these holiday-themed DVDs. I just wish a good Xmas one would come out...

Cool new avatar Loomis! A salute to one of Disney's "backbencher" characters. She's been there from the start, and never given the recognition she deserves...

Her and Horace-what a cute couple!

If that's the case, then might I suggest that if you ever decided to migrate to the States, Wisconsin would be the ideal location?

The Sweetheart Stories DVD is for real, by the way. Mostly full of shorts from the International version of the Mickey Loves Minnie VHS. The WTP DVD looks interesting, and there's also a Rolie Polie Olie Valentine's/Easter DVD coming out as well.

ok its real. the cover art looks very strange. i knew that the Pooh DVD was real but it is strange for Disney to release a DVD of Disney shorts when they already have the Treasures set.

I won't get this.
Those shorts sooner or later will be in different Disney Treasures.

Don't know what's on it, but it is legit, and it's coming January 6. This and the Pooh Un-Valentine's DVD (which I found out about yesterday) just kind of snuck up on me. Release date given is 1996, so it's probably one of the things that Stashone mentioned.

Here's what I've put together for Disney "Valentine's Day" products:

Thanks. I fixed it. The space IS supposed to be there, but the board didn't recognize it.

There has actually been a VHS-video called "Sweetheart Stories".

The DVD might be a new release, but probably with added cartoons since the original tape only contained three films:

Maybe they've added the shorts from the Love Tales VHS.

I now have the "Mickey & Minnie's Sweetheart Stories" region 1 DVD right in front of me.

It contains:

1. Mickey's Rival
2. In Dutch
3. Donald's Double Trouble
4. The Nifty Nineties
5. Pluto's Heart Throb
6. Mr. Duck Steps Out
7. Society Dog Show
8. Mickey's Delayed Date

As you can see, there are some differences from what's listed in the "upcoming" section of this site.

The strange thing is that the region 2 "Sweetheart Stories" is apparently going to be more like the list at this site, at least if you can trust the BBFC database.

I think Disney releases things like this because of how hard it is to find some of the "Treasures" sets.
