Tokyo Disney Sea commercial
I found this on YouTube! It's a nice look at some of the attractions. What I found most interesting is how guests can meet Ariel in Mermaid Lagoon!

Tokyo...DisneySea!
It would be super cool if that was how you could meet Ariel, but I'm pretty sure that it's just the "magic of television". In pictures I've seen, you just meet her sitting in a clamshell. But that's better, because then you can get a good picture with her and...well come on, you get to sit on Ariel's lap! Well...maybe only if you're a kid. I think adults have to just stand next to her. Check out these pictures.
That tune is catchy though...

That is more of how you would see her in the show that takes place in The Little Mermaid Theatre at Mermaid Lagoon. It's a beautiful show.Disney Duster wrote:It would be super cool if that was how you could meet Ariel, but I'm pretty sure that it's just the "magic of television". That's what I thought. I just wasn't sure if you watch the show from the sea floor and look up or something. If so, that'd be awesome!!!dizfan wrote:That is more of how you would see her in the show that takes place in The Little Mermaid Theatre at Mermaid Lagoon. It's a beautiful show.

If you have a region free dvd player you can order a Tokyo Disneyland/ Tokyo Disney Sea dvd 2-pack here:

I ordered it & it's pretty fun. It's in Japanese, but it's still fun to watch a tour of the parks that hopefully I'll get to go to someday!

How do you Meet that Mermaid?
Well, techincally it is a trick in the video, but you actually do get to see Ariel "swimming" above you, so close some overzealous boys might be able to jump up and touch her shell top. In a show called, "Under the Sea" at Tokyo DisneySea's Mermaid Lagoon Theater, Ariel and other characters fly above the audience as they tell about half the story of The Little Mermaid, not unlike Disney MGM Studios' The Voyage of The Little Mermaid, but Ariel stays a mermaid all the way through. There's even a giant Ursula head! If you want to know how you really meet Ariel, take a look at the pic among the posts above.Unregistered wrote:I have a hard time believeing that's how everybody gets to meet Ariel. Even though it would be awesome, I'm supporting ther theory of it just being a trick.

Why, I can't see why anybody would want to do thatDisney Duster wrote:Well, techincally it is a trick in the video, but you actually do get to see Ariel "swimming" above you, so close some overzealous boys might be able to jump up and touch her shell top.

Anyway, thanks for clearing it up. Sounds like it must be quite the experience for the audience. And hell, as long as there's Ursula, I'm all for it.

the miserable, the lonely and depressed. Pathetic?
Sailor Eric wrote:Oh, I loved this! LOL! Not only because of Ariel saying "konnichi wa" and it being Disney, but that Japanese girl with the yellow jacket is Sailormoon from the live-action Sailormoon show!!! WOW!

I so want to go to Tokyo Disney one day...
Glad to see another Sailor Moon fan
