The PAL "Walt Disney Classics" videos

Post by Logoliker2004 »

Hey, I noticed something odd on the Non-North American Disney VHS and DVDs of classic animated features. For the VHSs, they had a Classics series, though their print logo in the 80s up until 1997 was just simply "Walt Disney Classics" above the title or "Disney-CLASSICS", though I heard that the actual videotapes used the same animated Classics intros as the USA videos did (the Black Diamond logo).
But here is where it puzzles me. There is their logo from 1997 to around 2001, with "CLASSICS" in a gold scroll, with "Walt Disney" above it.

In French, the scroll either had "CLASSIQUES" or "LES GRANDS CLASSIQUES" on it.
My question is, did that logo ever appear in animated form? I am also a member of the Closing Logo Group and would like to notify about it. So was there an animated version of the Classics "Scroll" logo, or was there not?

No is the simple answer. Some trailers would have that logo on them, but it wasn't "animated" it was literally just the image you see on the cover placed above the movie's title.

The same logo also appeared on DVDs and VHS in the UK, for example:
