Music Videos On Disney Animated DVD's Discussion...

Post by BATBfan1 »

What do you guys think about "ALL" the Music videos have put on the Animated DVD's from the past to now?

To me, I honestly enjoy MOST of them.
Some can get on my nerves but I do enjoy most. :)
I enjoy the ORIGINAL Theme songs on video and other fun songs from an Animated Classic.
Some Sequels have good videos as well but not all lol. 8)

Most of them are pretty bad.

You should check out some of the music videos made by fans.

They post them on youtube.com

I've created quite a few, and just completed a new Mickey Video entitled of all things "Hey Mickey!"

The fans are creating better stuff than the company!

To "a customer like me" Disney's music videos are in general quite pointless. But I guess they don't take up that much space, so there's really no harm done...

Well, I suspect you don't really try to understand what I'm saying - although it wasn't much, I'll have to admit.

I'll put it differently: Adding that sort of music videos tends not to increase the value of the "package" I want to buy when I want to buy a DVD. :P

Well, it depends on the VIDEO itself.
I like the more classier ones that are the originals but some of the teeny ones are good as well. :)

The only ones that I like are the actual, original music videos from when something came out. Like the one for "If I never knew you" by Jon Secada and Shanice. It bothers me that they always feel the need to add covers by people that a) no one has ever heard of or b) no one will remember in 5-10 years and will make it seem dated and out of place. I think adding music videos in general is ok but definetley not one of the finest points in bonus features.

I agree. But I guess since those Disneymania CDs are selling so well, we'll be getting more & more remakes. I was so pissed when I found out The Cheetah Girls did an 'upbeat' remake of "If I Never Knew You". It's such a beautiful song/duet, and for them to change it up like that, completely ruins the meaning.

A couple of my favorite Disney music videos:
Vanessa Williams "Colors Of The Wind" (Pocahontas)
Jon Secada & Shanice "If I Never Knew You" (Pocahontas)
Kenny Lattimore & Heather Headley "Love Will Find A Way" (Lion King 2)
Usher "You'll Be In My Heart" (yes I know the remake version) (Tarzan)

That's all I can remember for now.
