CARS Anti Cell Phone Spot In Theatres

Post by lighthousemike »

I'm not sure if this was already posted but i just saw in theatres what at first believed to be a new CARS trailer which showed the race car thinking of how to pass all the other cars but then a cell phone rings and he looses controll and crashes......

Then he asks the audiance to please turn off their cell phones.

very cute.

Cool, but I thought there was a thing for your cell phone to plug in at theatres and get cool downloads of Cars!

I found this spot pretty cool. At first I thought it was a trailer. I've already seen this spot 2 times this weekend, before Ice Age 2 and Poseidon.

The problem is that everyone thinks the no cell phone rule only applies to other people.

Isisdour is right.

Come on... is just common sense. YOU chose to go to the theater. YOU chose to disconnect yourself from the world for a couple of hours.

Besides, you're not going to understand what the person's saying anyways, and you're just going to make a fool of yourself and annoy everyone else.

Unless you are a doctor on call, or a Registered nurse, or in some critical area of service, cell phones belong home, not in your car or in your purse or your pocket. Cell phones are the scourge of the technology era.......I fought for years against them, and only recently was given one by my daughter because she wanted to be able to contact us if we weren't at home. She doesn't realize that we don't take the phone with us when we go out, because the stupidist thing to see is people shopping who also have a cell phone in their ear, c'mon, now this is truly rediculous.

If people were more considerate of others in their use of cell phones I wouldn't mind it, but seeing someone driving down the road talking incessantly on their cell phone in what appears to be a very pointless phone call, it just fries me to the bone. Cell phones are truly for emergency purposes only! I don't say you shouldn't have a cell phone. If you are in school, leave it in your locker. You don't have that important a job to have that phone with you all the time.

When I go on vacation I will take my cell phone with me in case of any emergency that may arise. That is a useful purpose for having a cell phone. I hope that they make it against the law to drive a car and talk on a cell phone (unless you have a hands free set, or a blue-tooth hookup)at the same time.

For what it is worth, that is just my opinion.

There are some states where it is Illegal to talk on a cell phone when driving without a hands free device, I agree about the driving part but I think Cell Phones are a big part of todays life, People are use to them and rely on them. I love my Cell Phone and use it when ever I need to. I always put it on vibrate or shut the ringer completly off in the theater. I like to be able to have my wife get in touch with me if she needs to. It works great when I am at the store and instead of having to make 10 trips there can call her and check if there is anything else we need. I also like to be able to call my family back east when ever I want to, If I have to wait till after work then it is to late to call them.

I also know people who dont have home phones and just use cell's
