Is anyone doing a Three Caballeros review ?

Post by Tony »

It would be great if someone could do a Three Caballeros dvd review ? I have seen this movie on VHS some time ago, but can't really remember much of it.

I rented it the same time I rented Saludos Amigos and I planned on doing a DVD review of it, but now it's not fresh enough in memory. I actually didn't think too much of Three Caballeros - of the three anthology features I've seen, I'd rank that last.

That's right - #6 through 10 still aren't in my collection. Like I said, I've only seen 3 of those, but if I were to buy Caballeros or Saludos, it'd be just to "have them for the complete collection." They're okay movies, but not something that really lends itself to frequent re-watching.

Well out of all the anthologies Luke, you really do own the best one (Ichabod). Its a really good little movie and desevers better treatment than it gets. I might have to do a review for this movie for you Luke (to put on the site) Keeps your eyes peeled.

I want to do a review of it, too. In fact, I think I started one once - I should look for it.

Thanks Uncle Remus... if you could do a review if okay with Luke or even short comments in this thread it would be appreciated. I am definitely buying Saludos Amigos, but am just a bit hesitant on the Three Caballeros. Besides the Cold Blooded Penguin, I'm not sure if there is much more of interest on this DVD ?

well i know that on the DVD, there are 2 cartoons on it.
one of them is Don's Fountain of Youth in which Donald and his nephews go to Florida and somehow the nephews are not interested. So Donald plays a trick on his nephews by going into the Fountain of Youth and starts acting like a baby. The nephews who are quite confused and annoyed with Donald's behavior decide to to do something about it. So while the nephews are gone Donald finds an alligator egg and puts it where he was before to trick the nephews. But mama alligator isnt too happy with this and before you know it she's chasing the nephews for the egg that the nephews have.
the other one is Pueblo Pluto in which Pluto and a pup are fighting and chasing each other for possesion of a bone until they end up in a cactus bed and the pup saves Pluto ending the argument and restoring peace.
there is also a theatrical trailer but it isnt that good. in short mostly The Three Caballeros lacks in special features but is still a good movie for those who want to know more about Latin America.
