Question about Buy 3 get 1 Free Promo
so, i was planning on doing the buy 3 get 1 free deal advertised in sleeping beauty inserts. when i read the fine print it says "Store receipts must emanate from same state as consumer address." does that really mean that i can't order them on-line (since no on-line receipt is going to have a north carolina address for their store). has anyone ever had a problem with this? i don't want to be stuck having to buy releases in stores here when i can get them elsewhere online much cheaper. it doesn't really make sense. doing that even keeps me from buying direct from disney online to take advantage of this offer. i would go to a disney store, but there is not one close enough to where i live that would be convenient to go to. i looked for a number on the offer to call with questions but there was none. is that statement just a load of crap? it sounds like it should be.. anyway.. advice from the voices of experience is appreciated!
The answer given from Disney in the past is that online receipts are fine, since they're shipping to the state that you live. Why do they bother including that line, then...I don't know? But they've never been a problem in the past. Toys R' Us is running a deal - buy Lion King for $19.99 and get another Disney DVD for $5, next Tuesday. Seems like a good way to work towards this promotion.
You know, it's really bugging me that the Gift Set is so under-discounted compared to the regular release. Maybe I just stick with the "Platinum."

$29.99 on release day would have reeled me in in a heartbeat.Luke wrote:

And I suspect quite a few others that are on the fence as to which one to purchase.

You mean you don't put them in a vacuum sealed vault along with your comics never to be seen by human eyes again (like I do)?Jack wrote:I'm getting the box set, but I'm taking the DVD out to put next to my BATB & SW DVDs. I'm putting the book with my other movie books, and hanging the sketches on the wall. I'll display the box on one of my shelves.
How odd...
Actually, I'm running out of space for things like that. Box sets and such. No idea what I'm going to do after LK and my Hulk box arrive...
