Beauty & The Beast Enchanted Christmas
The only copy of Enchanted Christmas I have is an old tape. I wanted the dvd but didn't get it in time, as it seems to be sold out in most places. Does anybody know if they will put it back out this next Christmas..sort of like they do with seasonal music cds and tv specials ?
Think about this. Once bread becomes toast, you can't make it back into bread.

If you want the DVD try BJ's Wholesale clubs. My local BJ's has atleast 50 copies of Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas on their shelves. In August they had 10 copies of Snow White Platinum I bought two
I asked the manager about this and he told me that they never shipped back their stock to Disney so they have tons of DVD's from early 2000 until mid-2003.

My grocery store always saves old vhs Christmas videos to put back out every year. We've been putting out the same copies of B&TB: Enchanted X-mas for 3 years now, lol. There's a little coupon on the front of them and it expired in 2002 so I know it's the same ones. We don't have any of the DVD's though. I'll have to check though to see.

The animation may not be up to par, but Enchanted Christmas is a WONDERFUL Christmas tradition! Great movie! Good luck finding it! I missed it the first time it came out, but bought the rerelease. I wouldn't be surprised to see it on shelves during the holiday season, but maybe not since Disney keeps tight control on their releases.
That store sounds awesome. Never heard of it down here in SOUTH Texas. For DVDs I missed, Ebay is my only hope, and now that it's flooded with bootlegs, I don't know if I'll ever take a chance on it again for DVDs.
I really need to hurry up and get Belle's Magical World, though it is so pricey, especially knowing that it's nothing spectacular. I have the original VHS release, plus the original VHS release of Belle's Tales of Friendship, which was mostly that live-action "Sing Me A Story" show, but also featured a new Mrs. Potts cartoon. Can anyone tell me something I've been wondering for quite a while (though I suppose the UD review would have the answer), is the new cartoon that was advertised for the DVD release of Belle's Magical World just that Potts cartoon from Tales of Friendship? I've always suspected this.
Anyway, there's going to be a new Disney Princess DVD release that was advertised on the Talespin and Darkwing DVD sets that will feature a new Sleeping Beauty cartoon (and I think an old Belle one, but I forget, maybe it will be a new Belle one, because if it's an old one, it would probably have to be from one of those old releases, but maybe it wasn't bell at all). I think it will be my first "Disney Princesses Collection" DVD purchase.

Yea, it actually is a bit pricey. Thats why Ive always held off buying it cause I didnt want to spend to much on something that wasnt the greatest in the world. But I guess I should get it before theyre gone... I was surprised when I saw the 3 copies, cause I hadnt seen them there for a while.slave2moonlight wrote:The animation may not be up to par, but Enchanted Christmas is a WONDERFUL Christmas tradition! The animation in The Enchanted Christmas was actually pretty good! I was surprised after not having seen it since I was a kid. Its definately better than the animation in the Aladdin sequels (even though I love them!!)
And I cant wait for those new Princess DVDs!! You are corret, it will have 2 all new cartoons with Aurora and Belle. I cant wait for a new Ariel one!! and even though Im not that big on Snow White, it would be fun to see one for her cause I dont think theyve ever made something new with her (as far as I know.)

Yes, the Enchanted Christmas had better animation than some of the direct to video stuff (not all of it though). But King of thieves had better animation than Return of Jafar. I think the worst I've seen were Return of Jafar, Hunchback 2, and maybe Belle's Magical World. Well, unless you count the inbetween stuff on the ones that link TV episodes together. Those are the worst. I remember how horrible the linking animation was in Hercules: Zero to Hero. Still, they need to release that on DVD so I can get rid of my VHS, ha.
I am always up for more Ariel, she's my girl (her and Tink, ha), but I want them to release her TV series first. I also wouldn't mind seeing some new Snow White. It doesn't affect the original to me, especially if it's just a short cartoon. Actually, I do remember when Snow was animated again in order to present an Oscar at the Academy Awards. I really wish they had included that clip as an extra on the Snow White Platinum Edition. I remember she looked really good there, ha. You know, ever so slightly modernized, like when you see her in Princess merchandise.
While I'm really interested in getting that new Princesses DVD, I have never gotten the past ones because they seem to be mostly recycled and dubbed animation, and games and stuff. I am very tempted to get the story ones though, because of the episodes of Little Mermaid and Aladdin they supposedly have. I've been waiting for them just to release the shows, but they never did and I'm getting impatient. I have all the VHS releases of the Little Mermaid series (though none of Aladdin), and I think I have the rest of the eps recorded, but I really am trying to get rid of my VHS collection little by little. A while back, I even sold a bunch of tapes I hadn't even replaced with DVDs yet. I was just anxious to move on. I still have a ton though.

Snow White was at the Oscars?? Aw man, I would love to see that! And I know its hard to wait for something that you really want, but Im sure that its only a matter of time before Disney releases the Aladdin and Little Mermaid series on DVD. And why not? Theyve been releasing all the other animated series like Gummi Bears and Darkwing Duck. And I never thought that would happen. So just wait a little longer and Im sure theyll get around to hopefully sooner than later.
