Oh, and tune in tomorrow (Sunday). We'll have even cooler news about two other Disney TV-DVDs that we found out about from our industry sources...the same ones who first told us about Dinosaurs! These are a pair of VERY highly anticipated releases, so many of you will love the posts being planned. We're saving this cartoon-show info as the big stories to cap off a day of "animated series DVD"-themed news, so be sure to check back by!
Read the last paragraph. Looks like tomorrow we will find out what that they are.
I have a hunch:
Gummi Bears
The Wuzzles
Moderator's Update:
They are "Darkwing Duck":
Let's get dangerous! Darkwing Duck, the popular 1991 series that started its first season in daily syndication and then found a network home on ABC (airing weekly in the remaining two seasons) is coming to DVD in 2006
and "The Tick":
"Cool, they got a blimp!" The Tick, the super-popular 1994 animated series that ran on the FoxKids Saturday Morning Block after originating from the Ben Edlund comic books is coming to DVD in 2006! The comic book character was also the inspiration for a 2001 live-action series that's already on DVD, but fans of the original cartoon have been desperately waiting for news of a DVD release. TVShowsOnDVD is very proud to have the scoop on this info!
Wow! The Wuzzles!!! I remember that show!!!!! I remember when I was growing up, we would only get the Disney Channel for free for a week and I would watch it ALL the time. It used to make me mad because once the week was through, I would be watching tv and I would want to watch MMC and I wouldn't be able to. That was about 11 or 12 years ago I think.
I agree with Kenai, it may be Gummi Bears and Tale Spin, though a part of me hopes it may be Darkwing Duck substituting one or the other of the pair...

Wow, I'm excited now. Ooh, I wonder what they will be. As always, I'm hoping for any Aladdin news, but seeing as how they are calling them "highly anticipated" shows, I sadly doubt that will be the case. It will most likely be Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Talespin, or maybe even Winnie the Pooh.
And let me be the first to say it: I don't think I want to see everybody's reactions if I read anything about that three-episode-per-DVD crap in that news article tomorrow.
Interesting news, I'm hoping for Tale Spin and Darkwing Duck. Although, I wouldn't be disappointed if it were any of the others mentioned instead. Just as long as there are more than 3 episodes I'll be happy.
I'm really hoping it's Darkwing duck and talespin, although i have a hunch David might be referring to Goof Troop and Quack Pack.
Also, Dave Mentions that the reason for holding the news back is to use it "to cap off a day of animated-series DVD'themed news, so we might see some potentially exciting Non-Disney stuff as well.
TVshowsonDVD reports that Home Improvement Season 4 may come out this summer and could possible come out the same day Dinosaurs: The Complete First and Second Season. Could The Golden Girls Season 5 follow this same day or month?
The Simpsons Season 11 Buy it Now!
Fox Sunday lineup:
8:00 The Simpsons
8:30 King of the Hill
9:00 Family Guy
9:30 American Dad
I know they posted it as such, but it's not really news. Our schedule says the same thing and has for months. It's like guessing that another season of "The Golden Girls" will be out by year's end. Ya think?

Not being hard on you at all, Pals. Just the source. Don't worry, be happy.

And if you read that carefully, you'll see that the other show is "The Tick", not a Disney creation, but like "Fantastic Four" and "Spider-Man", something that Disney must have inherited. Sigh...

Dangit! I was hoping it would have been TailSpin and something else....something better....I've never really cared for Darkwing Duck. Maybe later.....I'm disappointed. I WANT MORE DCOSs!!!
We need season sets of all DCOSs and all DCOMs on DVD! And Better Cover Art!
