Disney Animated Classics Theme Songs...

Post by BATBfan1 »

Hey guys, I have some questions about some Theme songs for animated Classic's and some Sequels. First off, I already called the Disney company and they said to look online because they do not have an official website or source for that, which I don't understand why lol.

I will start with the Animated Classic's first because they are more important lol.
Ok here are my questions and doubts:

~Animated~

`What is the Theme song for Bambi?

`Does Saludos Amigos, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
actually have a theme song?

`Alice In Wonderland, is "A World Of My Own" the Theme song? Because I believe that song fits more than anything

`Which Of these songs are the Theme song for Peter Pan? The Second Star To The Right or "You Can Fly"

`Is "Main Title (Bella Notte)/The Wag of a Dog's Tail " the Theme song for Lady and the Tramp or "Bella Notte" the song where they eat spaghetti the Theme?

`Is "Dalmatian Plantation" the theme for 101 Dalmatians?

`The Sword in the Stone, what is the Theme song for this movie?

` The Jungle Book in the soundtrack it says "My Own Home (The Jungle Book Them)" is the theme song but I heard different, is this true?

` "The Aristocats" or "Ev'rybody Wants To Be A Cat" which one is the theme for the Aristocats?

` Robin Hood, what is the Theme song?

`The Rescuers, is "The Journey" Or "Someone's Waiting For You" the theme song?

` Oliver & Company, which is the Theme?

` Is "Good Bye So Soon" The Theme for Great Mouse Detective?

`"Circle Of Life" Or "Can you feel the love tonight" which is the theme for The Lion King

I believe that is all for the Animated Theme songs because the other Movies Soundtrack say it or it's self expletory.

Now with the Cheapquels and other films:

` Now for The Return of Jafar is "Forget About Love" The theme song?

` The Third Movie in Aladdin King Of Thieves Is "Out Of Thin Air" the Theme song?

` Belle's Magical World, I would say "Listen With Your Heart" Is the Theme but I guess I could pick which ever since its 4 shorts in one?

` Pocahontas II is "Between To Worlds" The Theme song?

` The Little Mermaid II "For A Moment" is the Theme song?

`Lady And The Tramp II "I Didn't Know That I Could Feel This Way" or the new "Bella Notte" is the theme song?

`For Cinderella II "Put It Together (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo)" is the idle theme song?

`Mulan II "Here Beside Me" Or "(I Wanna Be) Like Other Girls" which is the theme?

`Lilo & Stitch 2 which is the theme song? Jump5's new version of "Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride"

`Kronk's New Groove which song is the Theme song? B5's Version of "Let's Groove"?

`Bambi II does anyone know the theme to this yet?

IF anyone can please answer most or if not all of these questions would be TOTALLY grateful.
Thank you so much in advance. :)

I don't really think any of these movies have theme songs. They just have songs, some of which might be more thematic or have achieved more fame than others, but none are official anthems or anything like that.

I usually consider a movie's theme song to be whatever plays during the credits because that's the only song in the film that's not attached to a specific scene. It's meant to represent the film in general. With that in mind, I believe these are the theme songs:

Bambi: Love is a Song

Anthology Features: Too long since I've seen them, but The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, and Fun and Fancy Free all have songs that share their film's titles.

Alice in Wonderland: Alice in Wonderland

Peter Pan: The Second Star to the Right

Lady and the Tramp: Bella Notte

101 Dalmatians: Since the credits were instrumental, Dalmatian Plantation makes sense

The Sword in the Stone: No vocal theme song that I can think of.

The Jungle Book: Bare Necessities because (like with 101) since the credits are instrumental, whatever ends the film would be the theme.

The Aristocats: The Aristocats

Robin Hood: The whistling theme I forgot the name of

The Rescuers: The Journey

Oliver & Company: Once Upon a Time in New York City

The Great Mouse Detective: Goodbye So Soon

The Lion King: This is an interesting one. I'd say Circle of Life because a) the film begins and opens with it, b) I think the only reason they chose Can You Feel the Love Tonight for the end credits was because it'd feel repetitive to hear Circle of Life again after you just heard it (though it worked for Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin), and c) The Lion King is more of a coming-of-age story than a love story.

When you say theme song, do you mean the song that plays over the opening credits? If so, here are some answers, although if you could be a bit clearer things could be answered more precisely, as Aaron mentioned, none of them have a "theme song".

One little known fact is that this guy wrote and sang the theme tunes for every Disney movie ever:

"Fifteen years from now, when people are talking about 3-D, they will talk about the business before 'Monsters vs. Aliens' and the business after 'Monsters vs. Aliens.' It's the line in the sand." - Greg Foster, IMAX chairman and president

Thanx for some help DisneyKid. :)
I am a little sketchy with Alice In Wonderland because "In A World Of My Own" because it's like the Theme for The Little Mermaid "Part Of Your Word"
Not saying the songs are the same but they both kinda mean the same. I don't know I could be wrong lol.

@ichabod:
I want the song that is basically the Theme song lol. NOT the Main Title or End Credits, although, the Theme May just be that as in Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Aristocats, etc. Clearly Beauty and the Beast is the End Credit Theme song and it is also the Theme song as well. So that is covered by the soundtrack and the title. Same thing with Aladdin and with A Whole New World. :)

I also wish Disney had a sheet like this to send in the mail when you call them because they don't! :(

Also, anyone care to answer about the sequels and a few part threes?

No problem, and I'm positive that "Alice in Wonderland" is the theme song because:

1. The film has the song playing in both the opening and end credits (Alice was the first Disney movie with end credits).

2. The film ends with the song, just like other Disney films tend to end with their theme songs.

3. If you listen to the soundtrack, the "Alice in Wonderland" theme is the only riff that's carried throughout the film. You never hear any part of "World of My Own" instrumentally, while the theme song shows up in some form in almost every segment.

Also, do you know any other song that you can help me with? :)

Just to let you know Disneykid, the opening theme to Robin Hood is called "Whistle Stop" & is sung by country singer Roger Miller.

Little Known Fact: The Hamster Dance song is actually "Whistle Stop" sped up to sound like a hamster (de da de da de de doe doe, de ba le de doe...)

So was there ever a Robin Hood soundtrack? I found a lot of good MP3's online that sound like it was on a soundtrack.

Also, what is the theme for The Lion King II? Love will find a way or he lives in you? :)

Don't know about an "official" soundtrack for Robin Hood. Kram has the entire soundtrack in mp3's as well, he got it online from a classmate.

"He Lives In You" is the theme for TLK2 the same way "Circle of Life" is the theme for TLK, both movies open with the song, while "Can You Feel..." and "Love Will Find A Way" are the romantic ballads for both movies.

@Escapay - Now for The Circle Of Life Theme is it the Elton John Version Or the Original? I am thinking the Elton John Version because Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin had remakes as well.

I did a search for The Jungle Book soundtrack online and it does say that My Own Home is in fact The Jungle Book Theme because it is listed like this: My Own Home (The Jungle Book Theme) lol.
I guess that covers that one right?

I am still confused about the Robin Hood one as well. Oo-de-lally, isn't the Theme? No right? :?

Hmmm, anything else lol? :D

Well if we're talking "Main" Theme, the original is the one for The Lion King. The Elton John version, like all pop versions of Disney songs, are cover versions, so no, the Elton John version of "Circle of Life" really couldn't be considered the main theme for The Lion King.

Also, Beauty and the Beast's opening really didn't have an opening/main theme, unless you count the Prologue music or "Belle". So that may be the rare case where a cover version (Celine Dion version of "Beauty and the Beast"), is the main theme.

That's true, but Celine Dion's version is the pop version as well. Also with Aladdin there was a pop version, and with other Disney movies etc. So the idle theme I believe would be Elton's version. correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Anyone else can confirm the other theme's for me? Or no one knows or cares? I wouldn't see why anyone wouldn't care because it would be nice to have a CD with all the theme's on it.
That's what I want to make anyway lol. :)
I have all the soundtracks and want to make a theme song CD. Also, I want to me a Main Title, and End Credits CD but those songs, I can answer for myself because they are in the beginning of the movie and end lol. :)
thanx again. :)

Ok you guys are still not getting me lol. :p

I know there is a main title and an end title song in most of the animated Disney movies. I want the "THEME" song. So this means it could be the "Main Title" or "End Title" song of the movie or a song in the middle of the movie "Can't say that about Pocahontas because the original version it was cut out! lol). My questions are the songs above, that I am unsure of in my post. :)

We all suggested "Circle Of Life" is the theme for the lion king than "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" because it makes more sense lol. Why would a story like that talk about feeling the love at one night. It is more about the Circle of life with the animals. Also Disney keeps remaking that song anyway so it's gotta tell you something lol. :p

The "Theme" song for Lilo and Stitch II has to be the song "Always" because it is played through out the movie, and tells the story of Lilo loving Stitch always. So that makes sense. :)

Now, I am still stuck on others.
I will put up a list so far of what I have in a bit for Animated and sequels. :)
