How long is the 50th Anniversary Celebration going to last?

Post by MikeyMouse »

So, I'm heading to Disneyland this May for the first time since I was in 3rd grade (I think that was when I was there). I'm spending 4 nights there on the way back from Hawaii on my honeymoon. My fiancee has never been to Disneyland before, so she's pretty excited. Does anyone know how long they plan on continuing the "Happiest Celebration on Earth?" I know the 50th Anniversary was technically last year, but Disney has a habit of extending celebrations into the next calendar year (WDW 25th Anniversary, Walt's 100th, year 2000, etc., etc.). Any info you could provide would be appreciated.

The pamphlet here in my hands says that it shall be finish by November -December this year, then you have plenty of time to enjoy the 50's I guess, good luck.

You can also read in the this site the Luke’s comments about the park and the celebration.
For your reference and records my native language is Spanish.

Here's the link to Luke's first visit to Disneyland. I think he was there on the actual 50th Anniversary (July 17th, 2005). http://www.ultimatedisney.com/disneylan ... story.html

Also, :D welcome to UD Forums and Congratulations to you and your future wife! :mickey:

I hope you have a lot of fun on both your trips and enjoy the 50th anniversary. At the end of our vacation to the west coast we went to Disney but sadly we didn't go into any of the parks to see the 50th Anniversary celebration :(. We only had time (and money) to explore Downtown Disney (and see all the 50th anniversary merchandise at the HUGE World of Disney, tho IMO the World of DIsney in WDW is much bigger with a wider selection and cooler decorations).
