Disney Songs Survivor: The Modern Era - Round 1(CLOSED)

Post by Raydawggie »

Welcome to the first round of Disney Songs Survivor - The Modern Era!

This is a contest in which all the songs in animated theatrical Disney musicals from 1989 to now compete to determine the winner! Only songs accompanied by animation, in a movie with multiple original songs, are eligible. Three deleted songs(Morning Report, Human Again, If I Never Knew You) will be included, because they have been animated. The movies included are The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, Mulan, Tarzan, Brother Bear, and Home on the Range.

Everyone is welcome! You do not need to have voted in previous rounds.

Rules are simple. The 5 songs with the most votes will leave and not make it through to the next round, there are 2 days for voting with every round.

We are voting for the songs we like least!

We each have 3 vote! You vote for 3 songs!

Please make your votes in bold if making a long post which mentions more than one film to avoid confusion.

To play, you must have at least 25 posts(including polls and games) or have joined 60 days before the first time you vote.

Voting ends Thursday at 3 PM EST. Votes will be counted until I officially close the round.

Here's the field of 75 songs! Happy voting!

They weren't musicals. All they had was one or two background songs. Now different than any other movie that has a pop song playing in the background. All these songs were part of the narrative. That's why I didn't include the two songs from the credits of "Home on the Range" either.

There was a song in Atlantis???

Oh, and Ray, you wrote "This is a contest in which all the songs in animated theatrical Disney movies from 1999 to now", just in case you wanted to fix that up to prevent any confusion..

Thanks, I fixed it so it says only the musicals. :)

I don't remember any songs from Atlantis either. I thought about including "I'm Still Here" from Treasure Planet, but it really would have been a first round boot probably, since it wasn't all that memorable. I figured it made more sense to keep it to the musicals solely.

No, I meant "1999"..I'm assuming that you meant to write "1989". :P It's not a big difference, though..

True, but they each have at least one song(You'll be in my Heart, On My Way), that is partially or completely sung by the characters. So I figured I might as well include them in case any of the songs had big fans. I sincerely doubt the winner will come from them anyway.
