Wow, I have no clue how this happened, but the people have spoken. Funny, I could have sworn there weren't that many people on this site who had even SEEN these movies as voted to keep them in.
Oh, well. I expect a low turnout for the last three rounds, but I might as well keep playing since I've at least seen these movies.
Grave of the Fireflies is the only one here I can't stand. Miyizaki is a master of his craft.

That's what happens when someone builds a ten-member alliance with one goal. It's funny, but I could have sworn that several of the people voting against the Disney movies had said in the past that they've never even SEEN these movies! But oh, well, it's just a game. Maybe in a while, after my next Survivor, I'll do a Survivor just for Disney movies so it doesn't descend into another "Japan vs. America" game.Robin Hood wrote: Never seen any of these movies, I can't believe they all made it into the final four.
Next, though, I'm doing a big Disney 90's Songs survivor, with all the modern classics.

Has Mr. Toad been in contact with you? I've been discussing strategy with him, but when I tried to convince him that Nausicaa would be better off against a Disney movie than three other Ghibli movies, he sort of froze me out and didn't answer my e-mails. Maybe they had the right idea voting Rich Hatch out early.Timon/Pumba fan wrote:Did Prince Eric and Castle have a big alliance I'm not aware of? Because there is NO WAY that many people have seen all of these films!![]()
Anyway I'll help Toadie out and vote for Grave of the Fireflies

Nah, but I know Nausicaa is his favorite. It's a shame about Mulan though, I'm still wondering how Eric and Castle got all those supporters. lolRaydawggie wrote: Has Mr. Toad been in contact with you? Phew...I'm so glad a deserving film is going to win this time. Last game was an excellent turnout, and now we're guaranteed a good turnout.
Oh, and I demand the title of this thread to be changed to its proper title - Ultimate Animated Film Survivor. You're snarky change is condescending and shows bad sportsmanship, but it's not like anyone is surprised.

You and Castle "demand" a lot.Prince Eric wrote:Oh, and I demand the title of this thread to be changed to its proper title - Ultimate Animated Film Survivor. You're snarky change is condescending and shows bad sportsmanship, but it's not like anyone is surprised.
And you're really one to talk, given that you and Castle had a secondary alliance going the whole time! You may say that my use of manipulation was "underhanded", but at least it was honest! You conspired behind our backs the whole time, but hey, that's the game! But I think you can stop acting indignant now. Pot calling Kettle!

Grave of the Fireflies
My plan worked out as I wanted it.
After seeing the Ghibli films raped in the last survivor, I made sure it would be the last thing I would do to have one of them win. After the first round or so, already seeing Mononoke eliminated, I knew I needed to form a large alliance. Ray and Timon fell into Prince Eric and my trap. They wanted to make an alliance to protect their favorites. Thus in turn, knowing their favorites, we got the rest of our Ghibli alliance (Lord Yupa, Enchantress, Lucylover, and Brownie) to vote for their films, which included the elimination of the Prince of Egypt.
In making an alliance, Ray and Timon therefore could not vote for any of the Ghibli films that were all in either Prince Eric or my ones to save. If Ray and Timon would have not formed the alliance they could of joined the other Ghibli haters and voted off the Ghibli films before the final ten rounds even started. But yet they played folly. Prince Eric and I knew that we needed more help, receiving constant help from Disney Guru and Dave Wadding, and getting occasional help from Wonderlicious, which led us to get the Ghibli films into the final 4. We knew that we could have safety in numbers. But the game is not over yet. Do I want Mr. Toad's pick to win again, or do I pick something else? Time will tell.

And I thought Mr. Toad was bad. Now I have a whole new reason to play this game. To make SURE Mr. Toad's pick wins and you and Eric lose!castleinthesky wrote:Grave of the Fireflies

And when did LucyLover join the Chibli alliance? I remember them voting for Fantasia in the final 2 last time.Timon/Pumba fan wrote:castleinthesky- One question: How did you get Disney Guru and Wonderlicious to vote for your favorites?
Besides if we even tried to contact everybody from UD, we would've beaten you! Consider yourselves lucky!
