Good idea Bod, i'll be sure to check it out weekly. :)
Glad Narnia has taken the top spot and also Flightplan is doing well at #3, a good week for Disney & Touchstone.

Just ashame King Kong will knock Narnia off the top spot, with nothing major apart from that being released this week im sure Narnia will slip nicely to #2.

Wow  That was unexpected, Kong is excellent but i wonder why it hasnt done so well? I thought it would double Narnias opening weekend gross.

Im not surprised about Flightplan still riding high, nothing new or major has been released because of Kong......

Wooo :D
This week the main 2 releases are Cheaper By The Dozen 2 and The Producers. Well if The Producers gets anywhere near the top spot i will be very surprised, people walked out last night when i went too see it, i was one of them, id say its probably the worst film i have seen in the cinema this year.

Im pretty sure Narnia will stay at the top spot for another week.

Glad to see The Producers only went in at #4 :D
And it was beaten by Cheaper By The Dozen 2, just shows it doesnt matter if you have a well known cast in the movie, you actually need to create a good movie for it to be good. And to think some reviews gave the film 5/5.....just shows the public and some of the media have very different views on things.

Im also glad to see Narnia is still #1, but i think this week is its final week at the top spot, with Brokeback Mountain coming out (though my cinema isnt showing it right now, we asked why and we got some reply about them having it in 2/3 weeks...anyone any idea why that is? Anyone else's Odeon near them showing it?)

Here are the box office results for the weekend of 2-4 January 2006.

All I can say is the British public clearly have no taste whatsoever! How on the name of hell could Zathura get to number 1? Anyway, BV gets a new entry at 5 with "Derailed" and "Narnia" stays strong at 9. I have a funny feeling however that Narnia may actually climb back up the charts during the next couple of weekd though.

Anyway, next week's the big week. We all know why! ;)

Well i've deleted my old post since I was never too sure of it's reliability and it's figures did turn out to be all wrong. Here is the proper list and considering there were al lot of contenders Chicken Little has pretty much obliterated all but Zathura.

Also I think the weekend box office is lower than perhaps expected due to the split half term, meaning for those of you who don't understand what that means, this week half the kids in the UK are off school and next week the other half are. So I think midweek figures for CL will be higher than average.

Anyway here is an accurate set of figures for the weekend of 10-12 feb 2006.

1. Chicken Little (2005)
