Hoodwinked

Post by GhostHost »

Though the animation doesn't look the greatest it does have a much more promising trailer than say Happy Feet. Anyway, there will be original songs :) . Also is this a wide release or just a limited release?

I think I'm the only one here that thinks this looks horrible.... Then again I was never much of a fan of Little Red Riding Hood.... :P I might see it just for Pat Warburton as a dumb wolf. :P

BTW It's getting a wide release on Christmas Day.

I think this movie will be below average, the commercials were so delayed. The animation looks really corny and I have no clue who the producer of the movie is.

Lazario, how do you know "King Kong" is going to be bad? Have you seen it?

Well, I have and you are going to be surprised. Great story, though it is almost a word for word remake of the original, but that being said, the acting is great, Jack Black, for once, shows his acting chops. The special effects are not overwhelming and Kong looks pretty real. It is almost three hours long, but you don't notice it, because the movie moves right along and has no draggy parts.

How can you criticize something that you haven't seen? And why do think "Jarhead", "Mr. and Mrs. Smith", "Crash" and "Madagascar" are the worst of the year. There are four other movies out there that are a lot worse.

Jack Black has always proven his acting talents. In case you hadn't noticed, he got a load of attention for The School of Rock, which netted him a Golden Globe nomination, and maybe Lazario doesn't like Jarhead because it's pseudo-intellectual mish-mash and Mr. and Mrs. Smith features the most annoying Hollywood couple on the planet - Brangelina? I don't know, but those COULD be factors. :?

I just watched the trailer.

The animation looks rushed and reminds me of a computer game.

I'll still go see it in theaters.

I'm sick of these awful movies with poor storytelling, terrible music, lifeless animation and dull characters. Enough said.

I think the animation looks good for the style of this film. It's not supposed to look realistic at all, it's supposed to be corny! And for some reason, old women doing karate crack me up. But it does look like an interesting story, there's just something there about the feel of the movie that I like. I don't know, I must be crazy.

According to boxofficemojo.com here is what's happening. It's opening only in LA on the 16th for one week to qualify it for the Oscars. Then it'll go wide on January 13th. You can check both of those dates on their schedule to see it's true. :)
