Holes DVD
Who got the HOLES DVD? I got mine but i think the special features are lacking a bit. who likes it?
I really enjoyed the movie!
I bought it the 23rd! and watched it the yesterday! I really liked the movie even though I never read the books! I understood what the movie was all about from beginning to the end. When I watch it again I will understand it even more and get the points where I missed out the first time! You always understand a movie better the second 3rd or 4th time!
I think the Special Features were lacking as well! The music video was only 1 minute long and could have been a whole music video! The making of the film was ok, could have been longer and more entertaining!
I bought the Widescreen Version of the film because I was not going to pay $17.99 plus tax for half the film when I could have bought the VHS!
Over all this was a great movie and now one it is one of my favorite live action Disney films!

What was up with that "gag reel?" It was more like a commercial for the DVD instead of a true "gag reel" -- it was a seizure-inducing-paced montage of film clips, bonus feature clips, &c. I was hoping for a real gag reel, personally.
Both commentary tracks mentioned how funny Jon Voight was on the set. I would have loved to see some of his outtakes and behind-the-scenes horsing around.
Also, is it just me, or did the scant few features that were on this disc seem to be misnamed? "The Boys of D-Tent" turned out to be a whole production featurette, and "Digging the First Hole" started out as a Louis Sachar feature, but then morphed into another production featurette. Bad call, Disney. Sort of reminds me of the "Santa Clause" SE release last year. The bonus features on that disc were a major let-down, too.
