The following is taken from Reunion's Official Website :
REUNION marks a groundbreaking concept in series television as it chronicles the lives of a group of six friends over the course of 20 years -- all in just one season. Part character drama and part murder mystery, REUNION tells stories of love and loss, marriage and death, triumph and scandal as it depicts both the hopes and dreams of 18-year-olds as well as the realities that mark those lives two decades later.
WILL (Will Estes) longs to leave his small town behind. Aided by an athletic scholarship, he is the first in his family to go to college. CRAIG (Sean Faris), handsome and privileged, looks forward to the Ivy League with his girlfriend, SAMANTHA (Alexa Davalos), whose ambition is surpassed only by her looks and intelligence. The beautiful JENNA (Amanda Righetti) dreams of becoming an actress, and behind his cynicism, AARON (Dave Annable) dreams that his relationship with Jenna will go beyond friendship. CARLA (Chyler Leigh), innocent and quirky, must choose between loyalty to her father and staying near her best friends.
REUNION opens in the present day at the funeral of one of the friends, whose death is being investigated by DETECTIVE MARJORINO (Mathew St. Patrick). Before the identity of the deceased is revealed, we’re transported back to 1986, as the group is celebrating their high school graduation.
The pilot episode follows all six through the summer of 1986, and we witness the formative events that alter their dreams and desires forever. Episode two finds the group a full year later, in 1987; episode three tells the story of a seminal event in 1988, and so on -- culminating in the season finale as the friends celebrate their 20th high school reunion.
REUNION also will build toward answering two important questions raised in episode one: Which of the friends is dead? And who is responsible for that death?

AHHHHH! Why! I knew I should have stayed clear of this thread until after I watched last nights episode. You should change that to white so know one else sees.MickeyMousePal wrote:I seen the first three episodes of Reunion and thought it was lame oh btw Samantha was the friend that died I wonder who killed her.

Will try to catch this show.
But curious Dana you said "Sorry, I have to try to help this show stay on the air." Why is it do you just really like the show or do you have some connection to the show? Just curious from what I've seen this looks like a great show and Will Estes did well in his last show. So I have been trying to get a chance to watch but like with most shows I usually don't see much of them till they hit DVD.

I wish I had a connection to this show but unfortunately I do not. I just really like it a lot. I look forward to it every Thursday. I am worried it may get cancelled because it has not been getting good ratings. Reunion is in a horrible time slot and Fox likes to cancel shows so I am trying to get people to watch.

Bad News. The Idiots In Charge at Fox cancel the show
LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- It's the end of the road for three freshman series: ABC's "Hot Properties," CBS' "Threshold" and Fox's "Reunion."
[snip snip about Hot Properties and Threshold]
The drama "Reunion," about six friends caught up in a murder mystery, has struggled in the killer Thursday 9 p.m. slot (opposite CBS' "CSI"), dropping significantly from its "The O.C." lead-in.
ABC, CBS and Fox declined comment on the cancellations Monday.
This royally pisses me off. You know what Fox is having at midseason on Mondays at 8? SKATING WITH CELEBRITIES! It's a Dancing with the Stars rip-off, with the twist being it's on ice! Give me a f*****g break! They cancel Arrested Development, Kitchen Confidential, Reunion, and Killer Instinct for THAT???
That's what I hate about the unstable primetime schedule. They give you lots of shows with promise, Reunion for one, and you invest in it. You put time aside to watch the damn thing, you get to know the characters over a certain amount of time. And you start to feel close to them. You start to actually care about who killed Sam and why they did it. You wonder what happens as the series progresses. You get as far as episode six, AND THE BASTARDS CANCEL THE SHOW! Allegedly for bad ratings!
WAKE UP YOU SH!THEADS! If you simply moved it to another f*****g timeslot, you might have gotten decent ratings! Thursdays at 9 belong to CSI, didn't you get the damn memo??? And instead of giving it a nice soapy Mondays at 8 slot (Hey, didn't your wonderful Melrose Place do wonders there??), you shove down our throats a cheesy reality show that's based on another cheesy reality show! We don't care for C-list celebrities learning how to ice skate! We don't care for regular people on TV! We want stories and fictional people and for god's sake, something worth watching!
Fox, you're barely getting by with what you have that still works (The OC, Malcolm, 24, House, Bones, Animation, etc.). Why the hell do you need to be assholes now and get rid of some of your better shows for more of this STUPID REALITY SH!T!!!
Okay, I'm done ranting.

I am so sad about Reunion being cancelled. This is why I hate to watch shows on fox. This is the third or fourth time fox has cancelled a show that I really like.

Well, they should at least tape all the episodes so we can finish watching them on DVD. You are also forgetting the WAaAAAAaaaaY too long break they took for football. That was bad for BOTH arrested development AND reunion. Fox has like, the WORST REPUTATION EVER! for cancelling good shows, and then thinking up stupid crap ones (Joe Millionaire anybuddy??)

As much as I'd love for them to tape the remainder of the 20 episodes (they're up to Episode 9 on December 15), I highly doubt Fox would want to "waste" any more money on a canceled show. Most likely, they've taped up to Episode 13 (standard for TV shows: tape the initial 6, followed by 7 more, and finally the back 9), and Fox decided to cancel the show, thus, not ordering the back 9 episodes (well, back 7 in Reunion's case) episodes. I'm hoping for a DVD, though, and maybe if we're lucky they'll include a "How it would have ended" featurette in lieu of the back 7 episodes. Though it would be VERY big of Fox if they actually allowed the back 7 episodes to be taped and included in the DVD. Who knows, maybe they'll do that and hope to make a profit from it!Taleeya wrote:Well, they should at least tape all the episodes so we can finish watching them on DVD. Also, the break Reunion had was four weeks or so, which was pretty bad, but not as bad as fans of 24 and now Prison Break. 24 is now a midseason show all the time (Jan-May every season), and Prison Break won't return until MARCH. That's three friggin months between its "fall finale" and the second half of the season!
